Just imagining a penalty shootout with a bag ove your head. That'd suck!

It'd probably be better than watching tbf.

Three for me, and two for them.

10kg maybe. But 15?

I said 5, Stefan said 10. Then he decides to combine the 2 and make it 15.

i don't know you two but from the sounds of your love for beer, 5kg would be a fair f**kin effort. you will endure a fair amount of pain losing it so it's only fair that he who doesn't also endures some sort of pain.

Fuck this stupid game

The sign should say

"Oh Wellington is f**king sh*t"

Just to make sure the abuse is decent.

I said 10 to start off with. But then realised Dan could lose a crap load in water weight. So I made it harder.

Fatov?

I still maintain that you both need to see the Kenny vs. Spenny episode where they basically did this (albeit in a shorter time frame). Much lulz.

15kg is so much. One of my mates was kind of fat last year, seen him again lately and he looks normal size now but only lost 4kg. It's also hard because muscle weighs more than fat.

15kg is a fair amount when you are around 85kgs just now.

I was probably about 100+ about 3 years ago. Started going to the gym twice a week and exercising for literally the first time in about 7 years and lost about 9kgs over 6 months or so. Not loads, but that was done without giving up beer (in fact I probably drank more during that period than any other in my life). 9kgs did make a very noticeable difference though, looking back at before and after pics!

Now I am back hovering around an outrageous 97kgs and am looking to shed at least 7kg to get back to 90!

The moral of all the above is if you do NO exercise now, going to the gym maybe even 3 times a week for 45 minutes a time should see a reasonable amount of weight drop off...however like I say, 15kgs is pushing it a bit.

BMI doesn't measure fat/muscle. its just a ratio between height and weight.

Fair point to whoever said losing 15kg when you're 85kg is a fair bit.  I'd somehow ballooned up to 104kg before I finally started running and losing weight.  At the moment I'm about 87 (hovers between 86-89) but the goal is to get down to below 85kg and to stay there.  I know for me that would be a good weight to be at and I'd probably achieve it with a good, proper haircut to be honest.

Do you really want to be as low as 70kg, though?  Would a better goal perhaps be to lose some weight but still keep a bit and convert it into muscle?  I don't know, I'm no doctor - just a thought.

That's the thing, muscle weighs more than fat. I don't see the point of losing weight, unless you are a fighter or someone competing in a weight class. It should be about losing fat, not weight IMO. Muscle weight is a useful thing.

Although, many people think some footballers are fat because most are ridiculously skinny.

Plastic bag run was clled off because of the weather.

But weighed myself this morning and have lost 1.1 kg since I weighed on monday. So a few days of eating better food less often and exersize has payed off. In the way that I am losing my water weight.

Ive been told ive got about 1-2 kg more water weight to lose.
Its only going to get harder from here.

I think you should both reconsider throwing in the towel.I don't know how old you guys are early 20s? You should not be pork chops in your 20's. When you hit the late 30's you'll be screwed - believe me.

I recently took my pulse and was alarmed by it's resting rate. This I attribute to eating crappy food, too much alcohol and the fact I've halved my cycle commute in.

It's not about just losing the weight it's about looking after yourself.

I get up at 4:30 most days, (bit earlier today), and spend an hour f*cking about on the net before going to work. BBC, Stuff, here, brower based game and then the Guardian. Instead today I chose to go for a half hour run which I found pretty amazing as it was still dark and I was completely alone.

So this is my goal for the week, run most days, cycle in most days. In the up coming weeks I want to get back into swimming.Less time spent in a dressing gown reading crap.

I don't think 15kg is unrealistic. I did the bikewise battle a couple of years ago and lost around 7kg in a couple of weeks, (ok I slept for 2 days solid after it but there you go).

Really? Anthony Mundine struggled to lose 15kg and he was of a similar weight to these two. It will be a remarkable achievement if either manage it.

Yeah but Mr Incredible did see the error of his ways and hit the water on Saturday night. His extreme drunkeness might have had something to do with it though. Might also explain the loud expletives yelled at the rugby when Northland almost scored in the last minute

Well I've kept up the running and cycling for a couple of weeks and lost around 4.5 kg. Mind you I've had a serious bout of flu for a couple of days, which is making me ravenous. High temps 38-40 and aches and chills. The feeling like my throat has been cut through hunger. So Vickmeist bought me many cheeseburgers so no doubt I'll pile it on again. No biggy as as soon as I'm fit I carry on running and cycling again.
