I think he'll certainly be starting, because Kanter is one of the worst big man defenders in the league and Scott Brooks has shown to a fault that he'll stick with players throughout the whole season (eg Perkins last year).

But there's certainly some doubt whether Steve will lose some minutes to Kanter, I could see 3/4 MPG being chipped away if Kanter manages to keep this up.

I could see Kanter starting whilst Durant is out to help out with offence. But when KD is back they needs Adams defence more, Kanter will add to the offence off the bench.

Agreed, that a lot of it relies on KD being back. If not they kind of need the extra points on offer to take some heat off Westbrook.

Also Mitch McGarry will be getting more minutes, he's shown a polished offensive game as well as being a strong rebounder.

Been following Adams' career since he showed up, been cool to see him go to Prep school then to Pitt, and then OKC.

From what I've seen McGarry is seen more as a power forward than a centre. So more likely to take minutes off Collison.

Adams back, but coming off the bench, I see him being part of the second unit until Durant returns. OKC need Kanter to score atm without Durant.

Also McGarry kept inactive with Adams back, but yeah I see him more as a PF too.

He has earned it, has a level head on his shoulders and IMO is becoming a true sporting legend. If only the Nix players played with the same attitude on the field and he shows on the court.

not a bad pay day, now our highest paid sportsman.  Sounds like it will be a club v country problem for him too.

Yup he's achieved his dream, and succeeding at it.

Can't help but respect the hell out of him using some of those mega funds to help more kids though.  Good on him.

Good win for the Thunder to stomp out a bit of a losing streak that was developing.

I reckon kiwi kids would know who Steven Adams is more than who Winston Reid is.  He certainly gets more media coverage.

100% no doubt about that. Didn't Steven Adams recently become the highest paid NZ athlete of all time? Or at least currently highest paid.

From memory the next highest is currently Scott Dixon on something like 13 million NZD, compared to Adams' new 35 mil NZD deal.

He has earned it and in good Kiwi fashion, his feet are firmly on the floor so to speak.
