Not good and in other parts it's drought time? Really feel for the locals involved in either scenario.

Footage on the news now. Absolutely devasting. I have friends in Brisbane who were evacuated from their work as their building was near the river in the CBD.

The building I worked in next to Eagle St pier got evacuated... sounds like it's gonna be worse than '74... ten years of drought then they cop this - poor bastards!

One friend and his family have abandoned their house and are camping at a friends much higher up! Best friend was up at midnight evacuating people floors below him in his apartment as the river surged! Frigging intense! Wish I could help!

After watching this it makes me realise how insignificant and petty our remarks are regarding the Nix and football related matters.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

the reports on a "wall of water" are hard to understand for me, supposedly a inland tsunami down from the mountains? simply astonishing.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.
