probably just sailing. Wind upto 20knts might make fishing a little uncomfortable.

See you about 8.30 at Seaview pier A berth 28.

Would suggest you bring a wind proof jacket!

No worries. I could say something about lashing you to the backstay so you can't but that could be taken the wrong way by many many people!

Probably look for about 8:30 get away out for 3 or so hours? Forecast for Northerly increasing though the morning to 20knts.

15 March the LBYC boat club is holding an orientation rally in Wellington harbour. This family fun, all day event is open to moored yachts, launches and trailer boats.

We are expecting at least 50 boats to enter. Entry is $20 per boat for non members, otherwise free.

What is an Orienteering Rally? The orienteering rally is NOT a race. It is based on the sport of orienteering. No screaming skippers allowed; but kids and dogs welcome.

Each entrant is provided with a unique set of instructions. These include a list of tasks that must be performed during the voyage. Plus some nautical questions. Crews negotiate their individual course within Wellington Harbour based on their interpretation of the instructions, and attempt to complete all tasks and answer the questions. Each boat will undertake a voyage of about 20 miles.

Entrants need to visit the LBYC clubrooms for their set of instructions between 9:30 and 10:30 on the day. Entrants can start at any time they prefer once they have their instructions.

But all boats must return to LBYC Clubhouse at Seaview Marina, with their task list and answers, by 5:30pm. Following there will be a byo BBQ and prize giving.

The only things needed are a chart of Wellington harbour and lunch for everyone on the boat, plus food for the BBQ.

Anyone keen on joining Brandon and me for a day out on Welly Harbour?

That was so relaxing and the dolphin encounter topped it off to perfection. Although the run was hardish, not as bad as the swim around the yacht. And I saw Peter Jacksons place too!

I forgot to tell you guys, whilst jogging, several people whom I passed made comments about our awesome win last night and that they were pleased and I should be recovering from celebrating. Was good to see people noticed the result around by Worser Bay.
