200 games in 48 hours. 77 kills (54 in my trusty Chi-ha). Time for a break....need to eat.

Done D-bart. Right-click button sure helps too for acquiring targets. 4got about that one.

It's good for a while but doesn't help when they leave only the back wheel hanging out.
My BT is a nightmare. No part of me is a tank commander.
I'm a passable TD commander. Poor with a turret. Never sure what to do particularly in a light.

My best Churchill kill yet. Versing a Stug III.
I swear I can see Eugene Dadi in that screenshot.
Hard News, Ed_Dunkel and Dbart, in a battle yesterday, prior to exploding in flames..
Yeah. Great shot. Shame that AT minced all three of us. Like Speed Runner's photo bomb in the rear.
Can you send me it to [email protected]? PC Wallpaper beckons.
Also, from the LT guide, can you pay to train in a Perk?:
B. TRAINING STRATEGY IF YOU HAVE GOLD
Because Perks do not kick in until they are 100% trained, whenever a Perk is next on the list to train, train the Skill below it first. That way you derive benefit from the Skill as it increases in Training. Then, once it is 100%, retrain for crew member (200 gold) and take the Perk.
For example, I follow the list and want to take 6th Sense for the CO. Because it is a Perk, I take Camouflage instead as it is the first Skill below 6th Sense. While I am training, I reap the benefits of the CO's improving Camouflage Skill and when he hits 100%, I retrain and take 6th Sense.
Leapfrogging Perks with this method allows every crew member to constantly improve the Skill set they offer you and back training once the Leapfrog Skill reaches 100% gives you access to the Perk as fast as you would have had it anyway.
Its more retrain than train - 1st you train a skill to 100% -as its a skill, its always active and gets better as it gets closer to 100% -once its 100% ,you can use yr 200 gold to reset it to a perk-in your case on the T40 for the commander, train camo to 100%, reset the skill to 6th sense and then train camo again.
There is another way to reset without gold, but it takes longer -train in camo to 100%, then select another skill -maybe repair -when this gets to 50%, you can reset camo to 6th sense-ordinarily if you reset a skill without gold it resets to 75%, but if you have 50% of the next skill, that is used to take the 1st skill to 100% -i hope that explains it

Odd system but I think I have it.
Basically once my camo gets to 100%, convert the commander and restart him on 6th sense. Should I flip the crew onto others as well or just get the started on normal training of the next skill so I keep the impact of my camo?
Man, I've wasted a lot of good tanks unnecessarily...

No!!!! Plumber has dug through my internets.- No WOT for me...
Need my 100th kill bad.

grrr my internet is munted after downloading Arma 2 and the Zombie arma mod Day-Z. I'm loving WOT's, but I need a zombie fix now and again. Back to dial-up until my extra gigs arrive overnight. Surely you can do this faster Telecom??
WOT's loving my TD's and SPG's, gone Russian on the SPG's as they fire so much faster but have a soft spot for my Vickers Mark III as well.
I love those odd times killing a tank with an SPG outside of sniper mode.
Pointless playing this at dial-up. The lag is unreal and you just get potted.

Are you 'banzai_stevo' by any chance?
As dbart said, mine is tegal.
Playing like a goat.

The 100th. Tetoran. A T-34. Had to go down the cliff to get him though.
Once I have internet. Three man Churchill. We could get stuck on the bridge a live oaks.
Form tonight horrid. Four AFK and five wins out of fourteen battles. My win % down from 56 to 54 since Thursday AM.

Honking. Had such a good start too.
Been there.
Followed it up with a 310 exp battle in which I absolutely smoked 2 from close range. Happy again.
Dbart: we need to pick your brain regarding maps...ur knowledge will save our tankers...pretty awesome display to be honest...
Cheers dude...
PS: Struggled tonight initially - dumb moves...but had a nice little run at the end - 4 kills, then 2 more, then another 4...one day I will achieve top gun status in a tank...debating as to my next big research move...a KV-2 as an end goal? Beast.
My map knowledge is getting better but mainly from a TD point of view, not where to take a Heavy. Some of the usual battlezones strike me as stupid. I mean why go to the top of the hill and slug it out in an Himmelsdorf encounter? Why not sit in a wall at the bottom and hammer them as they come over the lip, or take everyone to the cap and set up defensive cover of it. Anyway. I digress.
I have one Top Gun. In the T40. With Dbart for company.
I have a couple of fives though.
I did get 3 kills in one battle in my BT-7 last night which is a step up and in another battle scouted well including a late run with two other lights to clean up the enemy arty on Erhlenberg.. All over a patchy mobile APN connection. Determined to become a competent scout as a secondary role to my TD life. My crew needs a whole lot more experience first. Maybe I should sack my 80% crew and buy a 100% one for it...
I could always scout in my Churchill
Gonna keep a diary now for the maps...sick of driving around like a headless chook and getting needlessly wasted.
These are from a Scout point of view but could give you a start point.
You can usually scout it out a bit using the minimap during the game start countdown. Then after a while youd sort of get better instinctively knowing the map a bit better each time and with each tank. That's what I'm finding at least, am far from perfect with it though. Also depends a little what the rest of your team are doing sometimes.
But you've all probably played a lot more games than me.

Same re: the maps. Playing a TD there are obviously maps that work better for me. Malinkova the initial map is fantastic for a TD if you can get some good cover, another one is Province. Get cover on the hills, use your big gun to take out tanks from a distance. I'm not the biggest hitter when it comes to kills but I can regularly get 2-3 a match in a good Malinkova or Province or at the very least put in some major damage before someone else finishes them off for the xp.
Ensk - Unless their is a good flanking zerg/scout I struggle with this map in a TD, the same goes with Himmelsdorf - I find these maps much easier in light/medium tanks.
I'm just concentrating on taking out enemies at a distance safely and will then move up and scout way ahead/take base when they are down to at least four and we have an advantage.
Can't see the point of wasting a slowish, difficult to maneuver TD to scout too far ahead early or even in middle game. I tend to sit behind the med and heavy tanks and then move into position with them as cover in city maps.
Mind you I'm still quite new to the game.
Himmelsdorf (unless I'm in the T18 or my Derp Hetzer), I go to the railyards and hope.I don't get overrun by lights (a Pz1c screws with me).
The T18 is usually in a low enough tier you can go and punch with the tanks, while my 105 Hetzer I just sit on the hill slope and wait for enemy tanks to appear at the top and one shot them, hoping a Matilda or something heavier doesn't appear. Lee's are the best fun.
Ensk, go to the 1 column to start and try and pick up anything running that road then move to where needed, usually to protect the base or arty.
Scouting is getting better. Sometimes you're done in seconds (PZ1c generally) but had good fun on Ensk running a half court loop to scout and then absolutely smashing two of thier scouts gunning for our artillery. Think I went 60% win rate in the BT7 last night and I'd have made a crucial contribution in a number of those (others I was completely carried in).
My SU-85b however, not so good. Redeemed by going 100% with dbart in the T40.
Also ran in to Stevo (repeatedly) in my BT7 and him in his Churchill. Luckily on the same side.

I was watching at this stage. With my T40 a charred wreck.
Can you set up a training room for just you to wander around a map or do you need at least two? I'd quite like to have a look into the corners and some firing lines on a couple of maps but youc an't really do it in a battle.
I don't know who it was on here a while back who pointed me to World of tanks, but I finally got it going Tuesday and I'm hooked already.
I'm not normally one for online gaming but this stuff got me hooked quicker than crack. Well worth a look.
After walking pace in the Churchill it would be an interesting transition.
I didn't last long in that battle last night. Ran a normally quiet Scout route and straight into five of them including a KV and couldn't get out quick enough.
Approaching my 1000th battle and have 770 kills. That's a number that could do with improving.
