Put the 152mm monster on it.  Wasn't too fond of this beast at all.  But starting to come to terms with it.  A 3 kill battle and a Tiger kill (my first) helps too (killed a friendly with the same shot though).  Probably making me a better tanker though (really learning to shoot and then move)...at 'The Abbey' went with two other heavies along the Coastal Road.  They folded right in front of me to about a half-a-dozen enemy...kind of like one of those Zulu film endings...

PS: Probably need to ditch the camo, and put in the enhanced gun laying drive when available.

The internet uber warriors at tier VI+, together with today's simply horrendous losing streak (I almost had my winning percentage to 49-50% last night) in my KV-1 (armed with the short barreled 122mm)...

I occassionaly run into Tier VII but not enough to put me off.

Hiding in IV is a bit soft, I know.

How about dropping back down to T4-5 for a bit -getting a few more battles under your belt -maybe trying a different tank type -like TDs -Ill be happy to help -When I started-same thing happened -raced to T5-6, got caned - I dropped back to T3 and learnt the Marder II ,then the T40, it was months before I worked up to T6, by then I had learnt the maps and was more confident - dont be too concerned with stats early on.

Yeah.  Not like me.  My grossly inflated stats are entirely down to dbart and Ed_Dunkel.

Although I had a cracker yesterday.  Drove my increasingly camo'd BT-7 to the tree line on Malinovka and lit up their entire side.  Took out 7 or 8 within minutes and they had no idea how they were seen.  Had team mates telling me to get out of there as they had no idea it was my work lighting them up for them. 

Then once they were down to about 7 and I knew three were out on the hill I shot out and took out their arty before getting killed.  I was laughing hilariously and can't wait for MM to set me up again.

1. Stats are everything.

2. I'm a heavy tank cmd.  TDs are not tanks.  I'm not yellow.

3. I need my 49-50% win record back (I was within 12 wins of parity - now its something like 28 - crushing).

4. I'm going to do this in my KV-1.  Even if it breaks me.

5. I love this paint scheme (desert). 

Had a pretty fun win with dbart earlier. Had 2 capturing our base and went kamikaze on them, the last guy couldn't penetrate my armour and I ended up killing both of them close range in my T18

Just got killed by an ally whilst going for the cap. Rage.

 Junior News and I robbed munk of a win.  I think he's sulking.

Well, it's back in my good books.  Operation "Reach 50% Victories" has started well.  Around 30 games, 2:1 win ratio.  Only 1 or 2 moments of madness.  Finished with a lovely 4 kill victory in the ruins of Ruinberg (died though)...

Playing with this setup:

Thinking of ditching either the camo or binoculars, for ventilation and/or improved aiming (not that I fire on the move much)....any suggestions lads?  (Don't worry about the ammo - this was when I was playing it with the 122mm mini derp)...

 I run that same set-up in my top two TDs but have vents in my BT-7 because I want all the camo help i can get.and with the guns on that a rammer is kind of redundant.  Most people would say don't waste your time on putting permanent stuff on a tier 3 but I growing to love my BT... unless some bastard advances on Campinovka, then I'm stuffed.

Unlocked the last of Tier 3 last night with the Vickers Medium.  My god, what a piece of shit that thing is.  Suspect the 6 pounder makes it a decent faux TD but you need 1200 Experience to unlock it and tthose 1200 would be extremely painful.

Also -got platoon voice comms working now -its like having your own podcast, with more explosions

and the Aust-Singapore cable fault seems to be fixed now -ping back to around 130-150 which it hasnt been for months, no more aiming into the future hoping for a hit!

 That was amusing last night with MR JJ.

Yeah I went and got this too and I agree with with you, rubbish.

Not been on much as the main comp is sitting in QuayComputers at the present after I p*ssed about with the RAM after trying to cure a "no signal" message. Have been playing on the laptop but it makes me even worse if that's possible.

So not just being rude should be back to normal in a week or so. Also currently on Nights.

I must admit, it was very fun while it lasted (one week)...just had a nice four kill in the Arctic, but it really hit me tonight: WOT is a completely mindless arcade shooter versing very aggressive/abusive teenage Filipinos and Indonesians.  Or far worse: the teenage "uber internet warrior" Aussie who think he's the shit.  The mind boggles.  Deleted.  But as you were.  Keep me informed (your win records etc) for the lols.

But I do need strategy.  I need "What if the Axis had done this?" questions (the key to wargaming).  I need to relearn the mechanics of this monster.  Normal level of difficulty.  No fog of war.  "The Road to Leningrad".  Purple arrows: 18th Army.  Objectives: Clear the Baltic states then attack Leningrad.  4th Panzer Group (pink): border encirclement.  Pskov, Novgorod.  LENINGRAD!  Yellow arrows: 16th Army.  Objective: get it's arse to Leningrad as quickly as possible.  Green: 9th Army - not yet full formed.  Reserve.  See what happens.

PS: I will finish this scenario this time.  Even if everything bogs down (as it surely will). 

See - this is what I don't get about your game.

Both the North African and Eastern Front were campaigns of attrition.  At any level the Eastern Front was a loser option for the little Austrian.  May have been a goe-er if Tojo had also joined in from the other side, but he was too busy experimenting on the rest of Asia.

Even if you imposed Teutonic rule in the East, you'd still tie up significant resources there while Tommy, Yankee and all the rest of the "Free World" would roll you back from Western Europe and through Africa/Italy.

Had an awful run last night.  I'm sure I liost 66% of battles (the stats disagree) and I used the French D1 (Trying to unlock all of tier 3).  What a piece of shit that is.  Quite possibly worse than the VIckers Medium Mk II which I would not have thought possible.  Plenty of armour but so slow and with a gun that won't hurt anything (turns out the 47mm is the worst gun in the game for penetration).  The FT-17 is a better tank!  Anyway, Grind over. 

Last Tier 2 to knock off is the Artillery on the FT chassis.  Should be a giggle, already got two kills in a catastrophic loss on Karelia, T57 asn I the last two stopped an advance with direct fire.
