Current stats:

Average on the kill front (overall: 0.54 kill rate).  However, the big news tonight: 2:1 on the victory front (around 15 battles).  Down to a victory-defeat difference of just three battles!  Nice little "protecting the flank" battle at Ensk.  But not playing anymore until I can ride on the coat-tails of a Munk platty.  Seriously.  I've worked too hard, and thrown too many WoT temper tantys to let this go...

PS: I'm not a TD commander.  I'm a tanker.  TDs are not tanks.  "Remaining in camo up the back"...

PSS: Yeah, hate it MAJORLY when a friendly walks straight in your path - exactly at the moment of "fire".  Happened once in my KV-2 (derped for good measure).  He called me an "idiot".  I called him a "noob".  Ugly.

Apparently I'm doing something of an all nighter. Had quite a few draws tonight strangely. Getting that ratio up.

That is what happened here.  I was about to knock off a Lee and as I fired this camo'd SU85b raced in to my line of sight.  Perry the Platypus 1 - Munk 0.

Also... you don't speed anywhere in Perry.

Perry not helping my numbers.  Went 9-9-1 last night in 19 battles.  The draw was ridiculous.  My BT was tearing it up on Karelia until I got Derped by an M2 Medium. If I could have got back in the game I'd have shot our Marder who fannied around when he should have just got in the f'ing cap. 

Also got a Kamikaze for killing a STuG to win on Redshire.  He was down to 18% and I'd circled all the way to their cap and it was their last tank so I rammed him.  One of my favourite kills in the game.  Only 16 kills in those 19 last night, helped by a 4 kill game on Mines in the Teeny TD (ue.57)..

Yeah but that annoys me, I've had some great matches where both teams understand Province and it turns into a real cat and mouse affair. Getting your positioning right is crucial.

My game time is limited and I've realized I've gone back up to 90kg, (damn you WOT's and other computer games and beer of course), so have gone of my "murder" training regime of burning a minimum of 1500 calories with my daily allowed consumption at 1500 and keeping my actual intake at around 2200.  Will take me around 6 weeks to get back down to 82kg - Sorry off topic.

 I have both I think.  Definitely the Redshire one.

History.  Ended +2 at the night's end.  Slightly disappointing results after the platty (thx again fellas).   Pz II has gone to pot.  But may have found a winner here though.  Maneuverable (something I'm not used to in my tanks), with an OK gun (5cm).  Solid 4 kill at Malinovka to finish...might have to get some gold tmr to further improve it...

I went 16 of 20 last night.  Mostly carried by Munk.

Lost one in Perry, one in my SU-85b and two in the Wolverine.  Got my 2x in everything except the Churchill as well.  Good evening out.  Must post a picture of the teeny TD all camo'd up before my one week camo goes.

I just discovered the german mediums as well, Im finding them a bunch of fun -Ive gotten as far as the Tier 6 VK 36 01 H -it was a real dog, but ive given it a 2nd chance, with a new gun and its a lot of fun -Ive also enjoyed the VK20 01 at tier 4, and the PZ3/4 at tier 5 ,so i think youll enjoy this line -

Yeah.  When I next get some gold I'm buying a couple of new slots for German Mediums - starting with the IIG and then maybe the III Ausf A.

Thinking I might dump the Hetzer as well.  The derp makes me smile but it seems to get some really cursed MM results.

We ran into BORK yesterday in our SU-85b platoon.  Unfortunately he and his Matilda went the other side of Himmelsdorf and got smashed before we could give him the old 85mm 1-2.  His time will come

I did however get pasted by direct fire from an Arty Su who should never have got a shot on me.  Almost sacked my gunner for the miss that left me open.

Started running the IIG. Ew. 

Gone 3 from 7 so far today and one of those in my BT7. The teeny TD got smashed in a Tier 5 fight on Prokrovka but we won. Don't think I've had a win in the Panzer.

OH!!!  So close to Top Gun.

Pre-war camo.  Never seen this paint scheme before.  Fully upgraded.  Love the speed.  80 kmph once.  Gun ok for tier 3.  Dies easily (remarkably so on a T5 battlefield).  But its the tank to take me to 51%.  More exciting times too: kill ratio up to 0.55.

Final observations of tonight's battles...especially on the Pz. III...

1) Fought 29 battles with it: 17 wins versing 12 losses.  For around 18 kills.

2) Fought a load of T5 battles towards the end.  Difficult for a noob.  Kills fell away big time.

3) Though it did forced me into a scouting role for the 1st time.  Got a scout badge, through a Banzai run.  Not exactly subtle.  Later did the "Magic Forest" scout run at http://www.tazilon.net/maps/muroSTD.html .  Did a good here.  Killed a Grant to finish, unlucky not to get another (scored a 99% hit on a TD from behind)...

4) Experience points in this tank are well below par.  Fell away.  T5 battles was a huge reason.

5) Hating Province.  Seriously.

I desperately want Province to popup in the renault and see just how much I can light up in her.

I picked up the IIG and the Ausf. A yesterday and between them won one of eight battles.  The last two in the PzIII showed promise though but so far I prefer my BT, but that is probably influenced by the 100% crew with 50% camo and vents and the fact I am used to her.

I really have no love for the IIG.  Unless the 30mm gun which I have yet to unlock is the dog's bollocks it will go in my pantheon of shit tanks.  Too slow and gun too inaccurate to be any real use.  At least the IIc goes like a bat out of hell.   Need to grind through the 30mm gun and unlock the VK as quickly as possible but I also need to grind the T40 through to 100% camo and get my 6th sense on.  All while avoiding divorce procedings this weekend.

Only thing saving my stats last night were the return of the prodigal Dunk.  Ed_Dunkel the T40 guru - 14,500 battles in a T40.  Pulled out an astonishing save on Mountain Pass after our team folded like an Origami Crane. I had picked up three kills and Munk a couple and we still got pasted and needed a save.  A good advertisement for thinking through your actions.

A three man T40 platoon gets a lot of comments but when you win ten from eleven it's going okay for you.

Perry the Platypus of occasional death

Started well enough, a 4 kill, followed by a couple of 3 kills...but my final 10 games = 9 loses...

 Given up on the Alecto TD it just can't penetrate anything and the only thing going for it is it's speed which is a little redundant for a TD the way I play it. What is it with UK tanks?

More folk seem to play the Hetzer than the Alecto and I'm wishing I had gone that tree.

Tried tanks for a bit with the Matilda which is the opposite of the Alecto - ok gun but slow as hell. I was going to carry on UK to the Heavy tanks because of their cool names but I'm wondering if I should just ditch the whole UK route?

What I am playing ALOT is the SU 5 Soviet SPG tier 4 fully upgraded, once you get the 152 Mortar it's amazing what you can take down. I've read some people think it sucks but it's easily the best SPG I've played. The only draw back and that means being careful is the 14 shell limit.

I'm averaging 2-3 kills a game, which for me is good. My win ratio is starting to rise now, after having a miserable time  using the Valentine, Vickers and Alecto.

So eventually I will want a heavy, so which Nation would you lot go for? I'm not exactly nimble on the keyboard so I'm thinking armour and penetration, rather than speed or maybe I do need speed if I'm "unco" on the keyboard?

The true Panzer III, tier IV, with a 50mm L/60 gun.  The answer to my problems?

Within one battle of 100% camo on my T40.  3 day weekend of premium helping.  Kid of liking the II Ausf A and have less ahte for the PzIII now it has the 30mm.  Still will be happy to swap it for the VK once I finish unlocking it.

Haven't run Perry this weekend, probably will once I have the T40 fully camod and sixth sense!

So are you guys going German tree to Heavy then?

My kill and win ratio just went to sh*t. I don't mind dying through my own stupidity, but when the team just fr8ggin doesn't think on mass I get p*ssed off.

Also why am as a tier IV always placed in average tier 6-8 games??

 I'm just amazed when the Heavies all take off in different directions and wonder why they get isolated and picked off so quickly.

So where are you headed treewise? Have you decided what type of tank and what nation to go with?

Pz IIIs at the moment.  Russian heavies (KV-1 and 2) in the garage.  The Mark IIIs are flexible which is nice.  Depending on the situation of course.

PS: Only 25,236 kills behind Munk!  No probs!!!

Going to be doing some reading tonight on WOT forums and WOT wiki to try and find a direction as I've had no overall plan.

I'm going to stick with the Soviet SPG's as I like their aiming speed and reloading times compared to others I've tried namely the Sturmpanzers.

Don't know about heavies yet or the medium tanks to get there.

Big day 101 battles or something like it according to my 24 hour stats on the app. Win rate for the period 65%.  Highlights:

- Sixth sensed my crew and got to 100% camo on the T40.

- 100% crew on my SU85b now working camo

- A huge game in the BT on Malinovka lighting up the enemy side.

- Rage sold my Hetzer and bought a STuG. Wow. Smashed teams up in it including a five kill first time out.

Garage now. T40, bt-7, SU-85b, T18, Wolverine, Churchill III, Pz IIg Pz IIIa, STuG III, Renault UE.57, Perry (SAu-40) and an MS-1 - I have some workmates new to the game I've been tier 1-ing with. Half price slots too tempting.
