War Thunder has got  harder.

They've nerfed how many tanks you can have per match to 3.

You can opt out in game and play a plane which is pretty cool.

They have nerfed all Soviet tanks which sucks

Still did ok in a crappy team

Munk have you played WT lately?

You can now jump in a plane in tank battles and if you get killed you get an instant replay which follows the shell and shows you how it destroyed your tank - very cool.

hey Fort -no I havent -I did see the latest update combined tanks 'n planes -that replay feature does look great -have hardly gamed at all recently -Id buy shares in bunnings if  were you, what with all the money ive spent there

are you smashing everything in your M3 Lee?

I've maxed out the free beta tanks. I found them nippy but fun. The game is crashing a lot for a many people because of new maps etc, so I'm not going to spend any real money on the game yet.

The good thing is Gaiijin have a good track record for fixing these crashes unlike some other Tank based computer games....

Gaijin have fixed the crashes pretty much. Can't buy a win at the moment in American tier 1 tanks. Some right fools playing which have resulted in a lot of slanging matches between teammates. Unfortunately no one has started an argument with me yet. I have however egged people on...

Also the Tier 4 German tanks onward start to get more balanced with their Soviet counterparts. At tier 3 The IS-1 owned the Tiger, despite it's pretty thin flank armor.

Has anyone here played Wargame Red Dragon? It's an RTS based on modern warfare based around 1980-1990. It's great because it's not your regular kind of modern warfare stratergy game like command and conquer or company of heroes.

It is damn fun and funnily enough includes Australian and New Zealand forces (surprising amount actually) includes about 1400 units (Tanks, infantry, Aircraft, Ships..) spans across 16 nations (Basically Commies v NATO)

I thoroughly recommend to you WoT players.

Nah that's one game of chance I'm hooked on.

It has a very steep learning curve to get use to the mechanics, I am constantly getting my ass handed to me in the form of a grandiose feast fit for a lavish Emperor.

However the difference I am finding is that getting my ass kick is quite fun, everything movement I make is a total risk and has the following thought of a bad idea. I think that is why I am liking it so much, so many errors creating a cluster fudge of a battle.

Been playing Divinity Original Sin recently which is quite fun. 

Wife has been playing Wot Blitz a lot -this usually involves holding an Ipad and swearing

In non gaming related news, I made a Lawgiver from Dredd 2012 out of MDF and craft foam -working on a couple of full EVA foam ones as well (and also a big ass Phoenix Logo/Shield)

I first watched it in bed with Mrs News asleep next to me and I struggled hard not to wake her I was sniggering so loudly.  Phly's reaction is superb.

I have been mostly playing tanks including your T-57.  You top damaged on Komarin the other day vs VM (VPA b) and made the top couple last night vs AO. 

Grindwise I have all lines except the new UK one at tier 7 plus have added a 50 100, a Pershing and a T-44 at 8 and a Lorraine 40t.

Having about 1 day a week that is horrible then the rest of the week hold arround my win rate.

and how is the new UK line? any standouts for you (assuming you are grinding it)

Gave up on the Archer, couldn't make it work so Free XPed it.  Getting on well with the Achilles (much like a Jackson but with less Alpha but better DPM).

The UK Stuart was a Stuart but unlike my M3 Light couldn't carry for some reason.  The Grant was just like the Lee - 18 battles @ 68%. The Sherman III and I were fine until the last few days when it's attracted moron teams.  Unlike the M4 and the PzIV I've actually had some good runs in it running the derp but after a couple of bad days have changed to the 75.  I'm at 58% in the Sherman with under 10k to go to the Firefly and 62% around 20 battles with the Achilles.

Talk is the Firefly is okay but a bit too slow and the Challenger at 7 is fast but the 17pdr alpha isn't ideal.  The 8 and 9 both seem to be generally liked though. No camo to any of them after the Achilles.

Ran the T40 for the first time in ages yesterday.  Took me 3 battles to get a win but ended up being a top gun, high cal carry.  GDavid on the other side as well for giggles.  It will be going back to a 50%ish first skill commander tomorrow when I get my M41 Bulldog and move the crew on.

Why did I buy this game??

Ahh it's good to be back.

DayZ- my old fully geared toon got wiped so starting again.

I'm a noob on the coast, doing ok when I'm searching this old cafe. I hear a Z but for some reason he can't hear me. 

Suddenly over my headphones comes a loud Jokeresque manicial laughter then a voice with a thick Aussie accent goes "Stop acting like a fudgeing two year old" to which some chick mumbles something in reply.

I run out and I'm assuming the chick has gone pyscho on the Aussie as she trained about 4 Z's onto both of them, she comes over to try and attack me and I just say "You f*cking amateurs" and run off.

The fact that they were both heading to Cherno says it all. 

Apparently you can now drive some of the cars.
