Getting a rant out of the way:

Only good players last night I thought were Friend, Maloney and Manu.

I'm getting sick of Bill Tupou, and the Fish can't play in a backline with Manu and him, 3 defensive liablitites.

Mateo was our best last week, and possibly our worst this week.

I hate the Roosters

Just checked the stats:

33 Missed tackles (Johnson 8, Taylor 6, Ropati 5)

Friend had 41 tackles and missed none, I'm liking his work more and more each week.

Tupou led running metres, I'll give him credit for being a good hit-up man, but that is all

Friend is great in defense but attacking he doesn't offer to much

He's competent, I get what your saying, but how many hookers in the NRL offer both? Probably only 4-5. Definitely an upgrade on Heremaia :)

Yeah better then him. But I think when we are lacking go forward it worked out well with Hohaia coming on and running with his quickness out of dummy half

True, I forgot about Lance playing hooker at the end of last season. Maybe later on the likes of Mara or Godinet may get a chance to occupy that role

Important game today, really need a win.

Watching the u20's atm, not sure they will win the comp again this season. And sadly can't see a replacement for Maloney. Could Slaimankhel maybe convert to a #6? FRom what I have seen, he has similar skills to how Maloney plays.

What has Bluey done to this team. Have lost all there Mongrel.

And boy we need Locke back. They say Fish is fast but he looks unfit and like he don't want to be there.

Locke also provides some spark from the back, Fish isn't making any runs looking for offloads

What load of crap no way can anyone convince me that Inu is going to be any worse than any of those getting a start currently.
Cant see things improving greatly unless they get Luck a bionic arm like now.

Had my doubts about Ropati being back at FB but seems to be doing alright.

Yay for not making heaps of handling errors

He played FB for awhile earlier in his career didn't he? He wont replace Locke, but has shown so much more urgency and support for the forwards than Fish has.

Would like to see Friend run more out of dummy half, we miss the momentum Hohaia used to give us from dummy half.

Much better performance, but was a bit worried there when the Bunnies pulled it back at the start of the 2nd half.

Ben Henry was good in the centers today.

I was very close to chucking a packet on the bunnies, glad I didn't and glad the warriors got up.

Yup we were talking about that early, we miss the quickness out of dummy half.

Locke should be back next week

Bit surprised at Matt Duffie's exclusion, he's been far better than Manu this season. At least Nightingale gets a go.

And screw Tamou, we have Jason Taumalolo!

Have to laugth how precious some of us kiwis get,Kemp and the others having a crack about his selection.yet at the same time we chase and select players born in Aussie.

I think the main problem some people have is the use of State of origin to entice players to play for Australia. Which is a bit sh*t, but not a lot can be done about it unless they change the eligibility rules for state of origin.

Also the fact that he was in the kiwis training camp VERY recently, talking about how he always dreamed of playing for the kiwis, and how he cant wait to play in the next squad etc.

Yeah but come on we use the crap elegibility rules to suit us and just because the Aussies do the same we squeal. Why dont they just shutup and get on with it or are they already preparing the excuses.
Agree how the hell Manu gets in has me buggered, still not sure why the love affair with him its not like he is some record try scorer. If he isnt dropping the ball he is making some bad defensive calls yet he contunues to get the big bucks and starts before others.Still laugh how everytime he makes a mistake they all high five him and pat him on the back as if he had just scored.

Nah it's a bit different when six months ago the guy was in a Kiwi's training camp saying how he wanted to earn his black jumper and the fact he played for NZ maori team in the four nations. If he'd changed his mind over the course of five or six years (between maybe age group and a regular NRL spot) I wouldn't mind so much. This is the worst case of ship jumping so far. He's had the Origin carrot waved in front of his nose and that was all it took for him to turn on his so-called Kiwi aspirations. I hope he gets K the f**k O'd on friday night.

It's a career move. Origin is the pinnacle and he can make more money out of playing it.

Same as any cricketer whoring themselves out to any T20 side that will take them, and you have never had a problem with that in the cricket thread.

Also international cricket is reasonably competitive. Very elitist, but competitive among those who actually play.

International rugby league is horsesh*t.
