Once they take to the field it is up to the players to show some form and all too often, the Warriors have not shown up when needed. As for the suspensions, serves them right. Breaking team protocols requires punishment. Good call from ths club. I am starting to think that some of the players are believing the hype about themselves instead of concentrating on doing the job.

I think Konrad shouldn't just be suspended, the guy should be fired. For someone who doesn't drink he does some real dumb. Shark. No intelligence and not living up to his ability. Geez, if journey men players like Ashford and Wright are ahead of him then that says something.

At the same time let the so called leader Manu go as well. He has done two dumb things within a year. Letting him go would be a true statement.

Spend borh their money and offer James Graham the keys to the city. He wouldn't tolerate that shark.

They are quick to shut down the calls about "bro culture" and while I'm not sure that's the correct way to put it, the major difference between this club and many of the Aussie clubs is discipline and professionalism.

You really wonder though if they hadnt got on the piss there would have been few changes from the team that played against the storm.Konrad should be gone it says it all really that despite his constant stuffing up he is still there.

Always remember Steve Price being interviewed on Deaker on Sport with I can't remember his name, one of those typical 2nd row warriors with twice the talent of Steve but 50 times less dedication.

Deaker asked the young guy why he did a head high on an opposing player and got sinned binned.

The player replied I was tired.

The look on Pricey's face will stay with me forever.

That is the problem, we have very tired and lazy players who don't realise saying they are tired isn't an excuse

Why do players like to mix prescription drugs with energy drugs anyway?

In my youth I would try most things, but it would never occur to me to do this.

Has any one here been dumb enough to try this? If so, what's it like?

When I read that I thought its possible its media spin.  Feasibly they are on prescription medication and not thinking about it went out and grabbed an energy drink.

So stupidly accidentally mixing the two as opposed to trying to get a buzz.

Possibly.

When you get Manu and his FKN attitude posting as if he has done nothing wrong you really do wonder just how entrenched this sort of stuff is at the warriors.Think im almost ready to cut them from my support really have had enough of players who think  they are bigger than the game while the still turning in crap efforts.

Shark i wish my Bears could get back into the NRL.

Monk is drunk. It's a well known concoction that gives you a buzz with no hang over or any risk of failing a drug test - that appeal has made it popular for guys in their position. One of the only ways to get wasted undetected.

No shark?  totally didn't know that.

Was hoping to give them the benefit of the doubt (still idiots for going out and nto attaneding a team meeting) but shark if they were going out and getting "wasted" then FFS.

The Eels shark is Cray Zee.  I can't believe how many people are saying the Eels shouldn't be docked points.  Don't punish the fans and the players being the prevalent argument.

Allowing them to play the season out per normal is punishing all the teams and supporters of the teams that didn't breach the salary cap.  Plus it would be tempting for teams to field ineligible teams, pay the fines, and pay a fall guy shark loads to do the dodgy workarounds and sign them all off.  Bam 45 million dollar team taking home the premiership.

They had to be docked points, I'm just surprised they are allowed to still theoretically make the finals, its going to be unlikely but feasible.  They should be on 0 with no points able to be earned.

Plus this method is unfair on those they've already played. Better to let the team stay together as it is, but have them not able to pick up points for the rest of the season (as well as being docked the points they've gained already).

So we're actually looking pretty good for the playoffs. A couple of times throughout the season I thought we wouldn't make it but here we are:

Best of all are our remaining games, which look pretty winnable most of them:

  1. Sunday 7th: Gold Coast Titans (7th, away), we beat them just a few rounds ago in Round 17 by 27–18. Although apparently they might've signed Jarryd Hayne.
  2. Saturday 13th: South Sydney Rabbitohs (13th, home), they've had a terrible season so we should win that comfortably.
  3. Saturday 20th: North Queensland Cowboys (4th, away), this one doesn't look all too easy.
  4. Sunday 28th: Wests Tigers (10th, home), they're on the same amount of points as us, but I reckon we can still get a win out of this one.
  5. Sunday 4th September: Parramatta Eels (14th, home), should be pretty straight forward considering everything the Eels have gone through this season.

Realistically we could get 3 wins out of 5 or perhaps 4 out of 5 and that would put us in the playoffs. Lots to look forward to!

Not only have they signed him, I read he is confirmed playing this weekend.

while I think being thrown back in to the league may not mean he can make the impact he will next year, he is a wild card, and the mighty warriors don't always handle wild cards well.

I personally think this weekend will have a big impact on our top 8 chances as the cowboys away wont be easy, and I can never trust the warriors to win the easy ones.

Damn, why did Jarryd Hayne have to come this week? Goddamn, couldn't he wait one week longer so we wouldn't play him. He'll be on the bench apparently, so our best (unlikely) chance is us being heaps ahead of the Titans before he can have any significant impact.

You're assuming Hayne is going to come straight in and have a significant impact after that long not playing league not to mention not having played a game or trained in gold coasts systemss etc

the problem is when we put on heaps, we tend to be buggered at the end of the game, which is when an impact player like Hayne coming off the bench can turn a game around.

It will be an interesting game this weekend to say the least.

Shocking loss to the Rabbitohs. Jesus...! This is the Warriors of old.

Can we still make playoffs? I feel like if we do we're gonna get pumped first game.

What an embarrassment of a team. Shameful. No one gives a fudge. So unsurprising to choke against the fudgeing Tigers too.

I hope so and the first job of the new coach should be to sack Manu.

He epitomises everything wrong with this team.

A Lazy and dumb player.

He was also part of this sleeping pill high club.

Having young players look up to him is a recipee for disaster. And a disaster of a season is exactly what has happened this year with players like him.

With the Warriors, it has hardly ever been the players fault for their inept and crap performances(Meant to be sarcastic). It is always the coaches and they pay for it with their jobs. Frankly the team ethos amongst the players is amateurish at best and I liken it to Sunday league played at the beach. Let's throw the ball around willy nilly.

I feel for Shaun Johnson. the guy really needs some class around him so he doesn't have to shoulder the burden at every game like he has had to do. The guy is an awesome talent. Stacey Jones had a similar situation when he was playing. The "Little General" hardly ever go any proper support.

The team has performed well in the past when they have had one or two hard nosed Aussie players amongst them, particularly in the forward pack. Real onfield leaders, the likes of Kevin Campion, Michael Luck, Steve Price, Brent Tate. When they have had those types of players, they have done well. I guess they have attempted that with Ryan Hoffman, but not sure he has the gravitas of a Price or Campion.

McFadden will probably get the arse, and maybe deservedly, but at the moment, the clubs problems run a lot deeper than just the coach.

I don't expect any commentary from Warriors management until after the season is done. I think it's a bit funny people are expect Doyle to say something before the last ball has been kicked...er passed

Great half of football for the Sharks but worried they havent got enough points on the board for the dominance they have had
