I wonder how much contribution to the carbon emissions that amazing fireworks display made?

On a more serious note, the World Health Organisation says that a pollution level over 50 was of concern  and should be treated as a health threat. Yesterday in China it was 478 and tonight it was 338 at the Olympic Stadium - 6 times higher than London.

A NZ cyclist  this afternoon said that after going for a training ride he went and watched some hockey. He's got a swollen mouth now and reckons it was like inhaling "Super Glue" fumes.

I wonder how it will affect the rest of the athletes? I also wonder what the long term effects could be on said Athletes and visitors in say 2 or 3 years time?
