the positive place to discuss the football
Go Gary Neville, remembers his roots and has a good heart in him. Total respect for not turning a blind eye.
Fenton didn't dislocate a shoulder tonight
Muslim youngsters’ football club builds bridges and puts a smile on people’s faces
That was an interesting story, thanks for sharing Conan.
Good old home town Invercargill.
That's fantastic.
Kick off in just over 24 hours. Yay. Shame about the weather, but football has returned! Be nice to start with a win but this could either be a 0-0 or a large scoring game in either teams favour.
Third best defence in the league, despite playing the top three teams in our first three games. Wooo!
He needed to re-find his confidence and mogo. Good luck to him.

2 wins, 2 clean sheets...... Come on lads, make it a hattrick!!
Roly having a do or die attitude getting his toe on Roy's cross. He almost did it again later in the game too.
yep he has actually been trying since being moved out of the more defensive role he visibly had no interest in doing.
Speaking of defensive duties, I note not only did Smeltz last well last night but I also watched him do plenty of defending.
Kostas goal was enjoyable.
As I was driving home this afternoon, I saw a mother and her young son crossing the road. The son was wearing his Phoenix shirt with pride. Whether his wardrobe choice was decided for him or he made the decision it doesn't really matter. I always smile whenever a see someone wearing their Phoenix shirt on non-game days. This club does have a following.
Whilst walking out of the stadium I passed a dad had his 9 year oldish boy. The boy was shattered at the result. the dad was trying to console him saying it was just a game. He looked so forlorn did the kid. I said to him, on the bright side we have our own professional football team and no one else in New Zealand has. Those fans are the exact type that those players whom took to the field last night, should front up to and explain their actions.
Yes I agree, lots more kids around wearing Nix shirts these days, the potential is there for a big following if the Nix can get their football sorted.
Think we need this thread more than ever!
