Can confirm Georgie Pie is no relation.

I wish Homestead chicken would make a comeback tbh.

Ah yes.  Actually i remember when the first Georgie Pie store opened near us in 1977.  It was right opposite the playing ground of Howick AFC, which did the lads no good at all (El**ch's Dad?).  Went about its business happily for 15 years until the 1990s madness, then got closed with the rest of the chain.

Adding to the nostalgia theme:

I loved this place as a kid. The talking fruit, the band of fruit who could sing like none other. What a supermarket should be.

Three for me, and two for them.

Also 1 opp Maccas in Manners Mall.

Also at the same time, Georgie Pie had a competitor in Wgton called Pie World on the ground floor of Oaks Arcade. There pies weren't too bad.

Pies from the Strathmore Bakery are really nice but expensive. Best pie I ever had was from a bakery in Ngaio long time ago but it's not there any more.

Patrisha's, they are fantastic. Also Elite Bakery which is near the Left Bank. Where is the nearest Jesters? They are brilliant, had one in Hamiltron a few weeks back.

The Stadium's pies are really bad! They should get Georgie Pie to supply the Stadium Caterer's because their pies are resonably priced and taste not too bad!

Half correct Oska.  The owner is Patrisha but the shop name is Trisha's Pies.  Nice steak & cheese.  The big pies are a meal in itself.
