my facebook is too full of people I barely know telling me that they are in some god-foresaken rural shithole NZ backwater doing stuff that I am not interested in. No way I can squeeze anything else into there.
Bit unnecessary and have you not missed the irony of your post?
I remember a couple of us taking the piss out of your music tastes awhile back and since you returned to the UK, all we ever hear about is what band you are going to see. Are we supposed to be jealous? There's never any detail about the gigs, like other people post when going to gigs. Nothing about set lists, the
venue, the crowd, how good so and so played this and that. When you post it's like something out of a celeb-spotting blurb from Women's weekly.
You know your stuff about football and I always get something from your posts as they usually have a slightly different angle the most.
This music thing is just a bit smug. It's like 'look at me going to all these bands and footy matches and you are are stuck in a shitehole I bet you wished you had my life'. - Well we don't. I love my little house near the sea and would not swap it for a place in London not in a million years. I could fly to London and walk into a job in under a week if I wanted to - I don't.
Sure I miss the bands but I've seen a gazillion bands in the past, like you I used to see around 3-4 a week at times and there ain't many I'd actually want to go and see now. The crowds are rubbish these days anyhow and if I do have a jump around I feel it for a week after.
If you are going to go on about how amazing everything is and how sh*t the rest of us our for choosing to live in NZ then actually use your writing talent and put some effort into it.
