I love them all. One of the greatest pop bands ever (only their first album can reasonably be pigeon-holed as 'ska'). A run of 19 Top-20 UK hits between 1979 and 1985 speaks for itself.
The early stuff is a given - everybody knows The Prince, One Step Beyond, My Girl, Baggy Trousers etc.
But I really love a lot of their mid-period stuff. Michael Caine, One Better Day and Yesterday's Men was a great trio of singles.
Likewise Lovestruck, Johnny The Horse and Drip Fed Fred from the criminally under-rated 1999 album Wonderful.
And then in 2005 they release the brilliant Liberty of Norton Folgate with singles like NW5 and Forever Young.
Fantastic band. The Specials, The Beat, The Selecter (to a lesser extent) were all great bands but I really don't think any of them can hold a candle to the career of Madness.

Have moved off Chopin and am re-living my yoof wiv Daniel Barenboim's "The Emperor" concerto.
My parents had a 1968 recording of The Man with Otto Klemperer (conducting) which I hammered for a while.
Here is a more recent rendition (2009).
I also found out via google that Rubinstein was very influential on a young Barenboim.
