Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

actually from many of the posts on here this seems to be many a YF members dream scenario...
but music often seems more sophisticated in french even if its not l'armour parfait
This clip attached is "Do You Believe in The Westworld".

yeah I like these and they really were "dance" tunes - quite electronica tho the fashion leaves something to be desired. reminded me tho of the great Chaka Khan
the late 70's stuff is truly great
Anthony Jackson and Willie Weeks give it large groove
I say seminal.
E's Flat Ah's Flat Too

The Specials are back in town soon too!

"Sharing rewards the weak"- Steven Colbert
Just stumbled across Ry Cooder's Paris, Texas soundtrack after all these years.
Cancion mixteca and the reprise at the end of the monologue "I knew these people" are brilliant.

My parents had a 1968 recording of The Man with Otto Klemperer (conducting) which I hammered for a while.
Here is a more recent rendition (2009).
I also found out via google that Rubinstein was very influential on a young Barenboim.
