Saw this one on Idol by the kid who looks like he'd slot right into the "That 70's Show" cast,..
or the Brady Bunch..and although his performance wasn't great, like Simon says, you know half of America is gonna vote him.Sheesh!
Anyway, here's the original  Anita Baker - Sweet Love

You lot with your Terence Trent D'Arby stuff.  That isn't old.  If you're going to do that then I'll add Joe Satriani, Surfing With The Alien - any track.

And if we are into the late 80's then there is Public Enemy - ALL albums.

Edit: linked to that video is the 1975 cover by Nazareth of "Love Hurts"

Hertz did an ad based on that with a doe-eyed lovely called "sparky" from memory.  I liked it and I think she did stuff promoting Wgtn as well.

Re the OP. They certainly don't. Last good thing I heard was from Johannes Ockeghem...

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Dream on... as far as classical goes this one is king
Gorecki - Symphony No.3 - Sorrowful Songs
even before I found out it was written in response to Auschwitz it used to get me and then when they allowed it to be filmed there it totally slays me everytime
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miLV0o4AhE4&playnext_from=TL&videos=CCYapHHyICk

and for something totally diff and prob more reminiscent of our original theme of music pre 2000 (tho done in a modern context)

I never liked aerosmith.. just.. Don't know why. I should technically.

Brace for the turbo queer 80's

Erasure - A little respect

This goes out to Dylan Macallister, I think he needs some from us.

Erasure - Oh'Lamour

I've been loving them recently for some reason.Azevo2010-05-13 23:00:33

Yahzoo was half of Erasure (Vince Clarke) but with Alison Moyet singing.

There were some crimes in the late eighties but little to no photographic evidence.

To isohunt. Too.. Research Yazoo sounds. not pirate a CD.

Crimes? more like blessings.

Don't know why Hue Lewis reminded me of Robert Palmer, but ah well.

Robert Palmer - Addicted to love

I'd also like to add some Neil young to the mix.

Neil Young - After the goldrush

Neil Young - down by the river

Quality ain't great, but it happens. Young with short hair just doesn't work for me. heh.

I'm sure I'll get haters for saying this but the quality of Neil Young is never great lol along with Bob Dylan. I'd rather eat chalk than listen to either
