Today a colleague referred to a customer whom he just got off the phone to as a "Dick". This was overheard by my boss who didn't batter an eyelid. I joined the conversation by saying in agreeance that said customer was a "Cock". My boss heard this also and mentioned that I should not refer to customers using that word...

Watching an item on TVNZ news at 6 and again on their late news about the artist "Banksy". The part where the reporter was in front of the camera and above his left shoulder was a picture of Queen Victoria sitting on a guys face. It was sooooo obvious yet they seemed oblivious to it.

Seems a bit off to me that someone who slashes tyres gets a 22 month jail sentance. Whereas someone who drives recklessly causing injury and the death of a horse only gets community service, disqualified from driving and pay a fine.

1st case should have gotten 5 years for being a wanker and the second case should have received 10 years, I knew a young fella once and he got six years for crashing into a car at speed and killed the oncoming driver ....then there was Eric Rush - Ex All Black & Sevens player, whom killed a guy in a car and put the passenger in a wheel chair for the rest of her life. Again it was excessive speed and all he got a "massive" $10,000 fine ....he was on his way from Hamilton to Auckland to prepare for his autobiography release the next day at the warehouse.

It pisses me off when celebrities get treated differently in a court of law than your average person. Just proves if you have money you can pretty much get away with anything.

2 weeks ago was my birthday, I got money from my parents and new markers from my friends. Everything was ordinary, but yesterday I got a gift from my uncle that live in Dunedin. I got a  Macboat! That's a sea scout boat for the children, who learn to sale. I'm 22 and I even don't like fishing. Why on Earth I got it and what I must do with it?

For sure I thought he was talking about trousers.

Apparently the term "Love Rocket" is not an inappropriate way to describe a customer...

Nothing wrong with people celebrating success and enjoying things once in a while. I won't go to the Wellington one but won't begrudge people who do.

Wimbledon dress code : an umpire in the juniors tournament yesterday asked a boy to move the waistband on his shorts so he could check the colour of his underwear. The boy was then told to change causing the match to be delayed 10 minutes.

Well, our current prime minister lied about his housing arrangement in order to get an extra benefit while deputy prime minister. So we have one politician who said she lied because she was desperate and needed it as a way of not starving and admitted the fraud to illustrate how the system is broken, and we had another who lied while earning six figures in order to get the tax payer to pay for his million dollar house in Karori but never owned up and was in fact caught...

Both are of course wrong things to do.

Yes because he has very clever accountants, he still had to pay $32,000 back to the tax payer and could no longer claim the money.

Despite living in Wellington since the 80s, owning his own house here, his wife being a GP here, his kids going to school here, etc. he claimed that his primary residents was in Southland which was clearly a lie in order to get extra money from the tax payer. Reguardless of the legality based on complicated trust arrangements.

That the difference. He paid it back. Todd Barclay resigned. Turei..... but it was hard.

He didn't want to pay it back he was forced to by his boss, he denied any wrong doing all the way through.

There is forced to resign, forced to pay it back, and being honest and open. Although I think Turei should pay it back and there should be some sort of punishment for her because we don't want to say it's okay to break the rules.

The point is that the system is broken and the Greens are the only party which are being honest about that. New Zealand has a 1% homeless problem, that is more than double Australia, five times the US, double Canada, three times the UK, etc. It's a national disgrace.
