First of all, I have no issue with a thread bring made for politics and moving away from this one. 

If I knew how to make a new one, I would. It's probably best I don't know or some topics may be immediately shut down

Second without naming names I really think some people are being a little precious here. 

We were discussing Donald Trump for goodness sake. The only people I know whom are mad enough to support his right wing views are people from Christchurch and the United States. I don't hear the views from Americans everyday so hearing those from Christchurch are both interesting and amusing.

 I really don't think it's going to make international or even local news
