We've contacted the SPCA and they're not there and no one's reported them - They've also got our contact details on there collars - although both going at once suggests someone's taken them on purpose.

Earlier this year the B & B next door took them to the SPCA claiming they thought they were stray's even though they knew full well they were ours. They would go onto the B & B property because the cleaner started feeding them and then got annoyed when they wouldn't go away (And there not underfed... They have food available 24/7). We went and got them back and put collars on them just to be safe.

We think they have probably taken them somewhere (and not to the SPCA this time...), we went and asked them if they had seen either of them and they went nuts saying we were accusing them of stealing the cats and told us we weren't allowed near there property again... Bizarre.

Just hoping they are alright

Also maybe let the Cats Protection league know. They often get taken strays and I know they sometimes trap cats seen in bush areas then try and rehome them. Hope you find them and hope if someone did take them that karma pays them back tenfold and then some

Tell her it's like the knobs on an oven.

Three for me, and two for them.

Obviously ovens in the north island are different to the ones we have here, with round knobs rather than wii remote looking ones...

You know what i meant. If you took me too literally then you could use some other form of kitchen appliance.

Three for me, and two for them.

The Matty Johns show, worst thing on TV at the moment. I thought he would have realised by now he works better in a team. Lamest attempt at humour.

Tell me how switching off lights powered mostly by hydro-electricity and burning candles that produce CO2 and less illumination is good for the earth?

It's not about saving anything by turning the lights off but about making people conscious there is something to think about. And this year, a record-breaking 126 countries are taking part in the World Wildlife Find which only started in Sydney in 2007

CEO of Australia's WWF Greg Bourne says "The key thing is you turn off the lights to turn on the lights in your mind as to how you reduce your footprint on the planet"

International icons such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Sydney Opera House, the Empire State Building in New York and the pyramids of Egypt will go dark for the great switch-off and for the first time ever the Forbidden City in China which is fairly incredible as china is one of the biggest users of resources and usually tends to ignore any greenie type things. By making an obvious difference in lighting in big cities the message that the earth's resources are limited gets across more people.

You moaners need to go back to the dark ages... but yeah thats right you will be the only ones not in the dark shortly because you need to keep your lights on so can gaze longingly at your signed poster of Michael Law's sent to all his fanclub members

FFS - that really p!sses me off. Why don't we have huge sessions of kumbaya? Raise the f*ckin consciousness! It's on the frikkin news everyday.

BTW SK the dark ages is what all the f*ckin greenies would have us revert back to.

Turning off my lights for an hour will just make me go to sleep, wont make me think about anything. I live rural and we get power cuts on a monthly basis anyway, I'm sick of sitting in the dark.

It's more a city initiative where it makes an actual visible difference (to the skyline) that is noticeable to everyone. I was bar-hopping dwn Courtney Place last year and it was kind of funky and romantic with all the bars set up with candles. Half of them kept it like that all night long... tho maybe using extra wax is unenvironmental... as i'm sure some smart arse on here will want to point out

I will turn my lights off even tho my place is surrounded by bush and invisible frm the road simply because it will be cool if my whole valley does so and the ambient night lighting is reduced so the sky & stars themselves are starker like in the country

And for the record I'm not a greenie. Happily drive a gas guzzling v6 at warp speed but I do believe one day we'll all regret our take take take attitude

Yes, well think of how many bees will be without theirs because of this.

(and how do they get wax out of bees anyway - must use very small ear scrapers)
