Inspired by something Shauneboy posted in another thread that included this link.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Went to see Paul McCartney in Auckland on Saturday night. Amazing show and a dream come true to see him live. Still sounds great and so much energy for 75. 3 hour show non stop with no break, only briefly before a half hour encore. Incredible that 50 plus years after The Beatles still noone has come close do anything as good

There was a press release, I wouldn't expect more than that.

Do we assume a replacement  is currently being sought or will Gareth come in as assistant? Or perhaps a chance to 'blood" Durante into a coaching role??

Boxing Day flight deals!

I'm able to fly down for the game on the 10th and the game on the 13th of Jan. $35 for tickets each way from Auckland.

Even though we're heart-breakingly shark at the minute, I still enjoy being back in my hometown, having  a few beers, and making a fool of myself singing a few songs with the Fever.

This song from Metallica

I'm a strictly rap/hip hop person but damn, this song changed my perspective on that. It's a masterpiece, found it through the Paradise Lost documentary (if you've seen that, I love you)

Being a very proud Wah Wah when my boy Micki made his A League/Wellington Phoenix/Westpac debut last night. Had to get him an appropriate jersey but was worth it.  He's still wearing it today.

Special thanks to my Zone regulars whom made him feel welcome, even if the noise was that loud that we moved down a few rows after 20 minutes. (Well done Zone, was VERY loud in parts which is a good thing). Thanks too to Liz for coming down and sharing the donuts with him. He was buzzing.

He wants to & is coming back on Saturday. Hopefully yet another fan has been encouraged. But as I said, I have so much pride in him. He lasted to whole game without getting bored and spent this morning telling my wife all about it.

Lucky Charm for the Nix ??

Reading Cinemas having their permanent price as $10 now which makes it much more reasonable to go to a movie. Went to the Courtenay Place one yesterday with my other half for the first time in ages and discovered I had 3 X $5 off tickets on my loyalty card which I didn't know so 2 tickets, 2 bottles of water and a popcorn to share came to $27.50 which was pretty good. Remember paying $60 for the same a couple of years ago.

Also ordered something from the US last Tuesday night and they said estimated delivery was today which I thought was ambitious but according to the tracking it arrived in Auckland last night and is currently on the delivery vehicle in Wellington this morning. It can sometimes be difficult to get something from within NZ delivered that quicky.

And delivered. FedEx guy just called me to ask for permission to leave it since noone was home to sign.
