Transferring photos to digital

Anyone ever done it?

Just found a whole load of photos from many years ago when I was slimmer, had more hair and was eminently more do-able so would like to get some transferred to digital versions.  Anywhere round Wellington that people have used to do this that they can recommend?

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite

Is there no where that does it professionally?  It seems easier than buying a scanner that will only be used in the future to scan in images of my....... um, well it is not really important what I would use it to scan.

do you have the negatives? Otherwise wherever you go will literally just be scanning your photos

We changed some of our wedding photos from film to digital through Wellington photographic supplies on Vivian Street. From memory, it was quite expensive but really good quality, so likely better than just a normal scanner.

What he said!

Plus would be beneficial to scan the negatives if you still have them!
