We haven't exactly brought good luck to the Nix. Two 3-0 losses since we touched down in NZ. At this point, you guys will be sending us one-way tickets back to Canada!?

Here is a weird fact about Canada and maple syrup: when you go out to a restaurant for pancakes, I'd say about 85% or more of restaurants don't use real maple syrup. They use fake stuff with artificial maple flavour. You can't even pay extra for the real stuff. Go figure, eh?

At home we always used the real stuff. Probably won't be doing that here much. I'm not sure how much it costs here, but it's probably a lot!

It's really scenic and the people here are really friendly! We haven't had time to really check out much though. Basically looking for a home every waking moment. Just taking a break to watch the Nix lose now.?

Correct that:the Nix won the game after all!!???

Yays!

Will have a couple of spare seats in the Hawkes Bay Fever Bus for the road trip down to Wellington for the Finals in a few weeks.

Keen?

Unfortunately, we are in a pretty high stress situation: need to find a home ASAP. We also need to sort out the situation with the shipping container with our householdgods being stuck in a backlog with MAF in the Napier harbour.  Hoping to put in an offer on a house after the weekend.  Fingers crossed that "she'll be right" with all of this.

Thanks for the invite though!!

No doubt, you'll run into us here in Napier at some point soon.

No, that's not us. Mike used to work in a hospital as a computer technologist who helped patients with assistive devices, but he retired from that job. As for me, I'm a photographer. Not too much cash in that so I made extra $ as a daytime dog/puppy visitor in our old Toronto neighbourhood. Doubt there is much need for that here.

I have a background in social service/office work too.

We bought a place in Tamatea. Moving in mid July! ?
