Hmmm, I am trying to decide whether I should come down to Victoria for Uni and live away from home, or stay in Auckland but be financially (much) better off. Looking at doing a BA, double-majoring in Spanish and English. I have a few mates who are thinking about going to Welly for Uni too. Tbh, one of the main reasons I wanna go to Welly is for the Nix, especially if a few of my mates are going down too.
Which do you think is a better option for me?
Luv, EN.

listen to your heart
when he's calling for you
listen to your heart
there's nothing else you can do
I don't know where you're going
and I don't know why
but listen to your heart
before you tell him goodbye
when he's calling for you
listen to your heart
there's nothing else you can do
I don't know where you're going
and I don't know why
but listen to your heart
before you tell him goodbye
I like tautologies because I like them.

Free with every Vic student enrollment: the chance to shout 'Who are ya?" on campus
(without being carted of to see a man in a white coat)
but wait there's more - you could practice your Spanish by shouting advice to Toto

Move to Wellington. El-Nio I am a 21yo second year student doing a BA at Vic and enjoying it very much. Not sure how it compares to Auckland but I do not think you would regret your decision in coming here to study. The Phoenix is a major drawcard yes but Wellington offers much more than the greatest supporters and team in the A-League. Moving away from your home to study despite the costs I feel is crucial. You will gain life experience, make new friends and the watch the PHOENIX live!

Living at home isn't actually cheaper, because the commute to Westpac Stadium from Auckland adds up
Make the move down here, you won't regret it

I'm in the same boat, EN. Hoping to come up to finish my degree next year if all goes to plan. I'm telling people it's to do Criminology and that's partly true. But the Phoenix is a good majority of my reasoning.

Do it EN. Where there is a will there is a way!
Best thing you can do is not live in the same city as your parents for uni as you live a somewhat more "loose" lifestyle, hanging out, not coming home for several days in a row. Ah I miss my 6mth stint in Aussie, but came back in time for...you guessed it...the NIX!
