Rugby and the Councils last gasp effort to try and win back fans after the pathetic 7s turnout. On the radio what a surprise. What put you off? The high cost of tickets, food and beverages.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

So rugby where the grassroots get's subsidized by the massive rugby union is getting council support, where as grassroots football who passed money up to local and national Football bodies gets nothing?

Well Welnix is asking the council to contribute financially to the Phoenix. The Phoenix do a lot more for advertising Wellington than the Lions do and are higher profile, so is this not a good precendent?
