It's not really Power , and kind of a ballad - Just Like Heaven The Cure.

I like the one with the dog on the boat with the winning ticket and he gets swept out to sea and he washes ashore and goes all through the countries then gets back to NZ and if fed by a homeless guy then he finds his owner who now has a cat so he goes back to the homeless guy and gives him the ticket so now the homeless guy is well rich.

No not that one. There was an even earlier one which may have been particular to Wgtn - definately on the radio (Radio Windy) but also lots of posters around town, possibly also on TV.

The music was Nazereth's "Love Hurts".

Sparky (I think was the model's name) also did ads for Wgtn Rugby - dressed in tight fitting Wgtn colours. I remember this VERY CLEARLY.

I've always had a preference for Hertz since then... (yes, completely shallow I know)
