What did John Key say about David Beckham?

The comments attributed to the Prime Minister were not correct. As Mr Key has repeatedly said, if Mr Beckham had been privy to the entire conversation he would have no issue with what was said. The Prime Minister will not be commenting further in this matter as he does not want to reveal the content of private conversations.

Received from PM's office on Friday 7/12/2012. This is their second reply. Initially they replied simply 'your comments have been noted'.

Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.
