What makes a fan?

Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Little Bobby goes to school, one of many Kiwis living in Aus but the only one at his particular school in Brisbane*. Teacher asks that day "Who here is a Roar fan?" Everyone except Bobby puts their hand up (because the AFL fans are all at a "special" school) . Teacher asks Bobby "Tell me, why are you not a Brisbane Roar fan?". "Well..." replies Bobby "...my mum is a Phoenix fan, and my dad is a Phoenix fan, so I guess that makes me a Phoenix fan too!". "Hrm..." says the teacher disapprovingly "...so if your mother is an idiot, and your father is an idiot, what does that make you?"
 
"A Brisbane fan!" replied Bobby.
 
 
 
*(Joke works for every team except Gold Coast, because they don't have any fans)

All I know is that you never need to have been to game, or even have watched the team play (live or on tv).  All you have to do is say that you are a massive fan and you get upset when the team loses - simples.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
