Ok, so because i have decided to update my passport this week i am very low on cash this weekend. So instead of taking my gf out to a romantic evening (being Valentines and all) i told her i would cook her dinner instead and she loves the idea of it.
Now i'm not much of a cook, never have been. What is something simple yet effective that a cooking numpty like myself can make without too much fuss?

easy cook a decent pasta dish. Google some jamie oliver and gordon ramsey meals. Even i can follow the instructions. And with Pasta, it's very hard to burn it.
