Whats it cost to rent in Wgton these days?

Am headin back in May and need somewhere to live...

Will be workin in Grenada, but regular travel to L/Hutt and the odd trip over the hill to Death Valley (Wairarapa).

Am thinkin maybe Petone, Tirohanga or in town, with easy access to the Motorway (and coincidentally the Ring O Fire ).

Will be lookin for a 1 or 2 brm unit or apt which is preferably in a reasonably nice area - nothin too flash, but wanna be happy where I'm living, am not a student anymore (nor have I ever been really lol).

Any suggestions would be appreciated, have looked on the net but dunno where to go, just seem to find the same few places over and over... things have obviously changed in the last six years though, that is clear lol
