Bingo! Leggy and parachutes both support The Red Devils.

Came to me at 6.30 in the morning. Thanks for cluttering my tiny mind for so long, FT.

OK - a more local one - should be not too hard:

Without googling, name the towns where you would find the following large monuments/structures:

1. Salmon

2. Trout

3. Carrot

4. Gumboot

5. Dog and sheep (these are buildings)

6. L&P Bottle

7. Donut

8. Kiwifruit

9. Wibbly wobbly wind wand

Bonus question:

10:  A big round empty thing that cost a lot of rates and isn't utilised properly, partly because it is the wrong shape, partly because it is too expensive, partly the lack of a roof, partly because of the food and parking prices, and partly because of red badge

6 of the 9 are correct.  I've just realised that there are two places for #2.
10. Correct, but I would have also accepted the Ring of Dirt.

Ring of Dirt isn't under-utilised though:

"Arena Manawatu has a deserved reputation as being both the busiest and most versatile events and activities complex in New Zealand. Handling around 8000 individual event/venue bookings annually, it has an unparalleled 36 different sporting codes being conducted here regularly along with trade shows, exhibitions, weddings, dinners, conferences, conventions, meetings, seminars, festivals, concerts and leisure events."

I believe he is referring to the fact that we played a game up there against Sydney City, lost to a dubious penalty after that diving cnut Brosque fell over and we were 150 yards from tbe field and blocked out by heavy chicken wire. Never ever again should we play there again.
