I've just purchased Petone's The World's Last jar of Marmite. What should I do? It's a lot of pressure, and I don't think I can handle it. Do I use my new-found power for good, or for evil? Help!

Three for me, and two for them.

Might be a bit sour though...

And the Marmite might not be the sweetest either.

Its already full of vitamins - add a bit of protein and it'll (probably) be a complete dietary replacement!

Doesn't appear to be that much of a shortage in Hamilton. Just picked up a jar. was expecting to see only a few left.

Any noticeable difference between UK and NZ marmite?

Edit: Other than the presence/absence of a TV celebrity's @rse attached to the jar?

Should have known to wiki it first:

"The product's popularity prompted the Sanitarium Health Food Company to obtain sole rights to distribute the product in New Zealand and Australia in 1908.[7] They later began manufacturing Marmite under licence in Christchurch, albeit using a modified version of the original recipe, most notable for its inclusion of sugar and caramel.[1] Common ingredients are also present in slightly different quantities from the British version;[1] the New Zealand version has high levels of potassium, for example. New Zealand Marmite is described as having a "weaker" or "less tangy" flavour than the British version.[1] It is distributed throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands."

Have to say that the UK version is more of an acquired taste than the NZ version.  Who would have thought that the UK could produce a product that is less bland than another country's version?

However it does make a rather bland bovril type drink.
