x factor is a british show and has been around since 2004.
it's still as sh*t as all the other talent shows though.

It's not a rip-off, it was among the first of the reality talent contest shows of the last 10 years.. doesn;t make it good though....

Oh didn't know that. Well it has been ripped of from the UK version. I don't mind some of the acts, It is rather funny. But the Judges are crap and they play music in the background all the time.

What's happening to the "Idol" franchise? Sounds like it's falling out of favour now that they have The X Factor & most of the original American Idol judges gone. Those sorts of shows are crap anyway apart from the initial auditions with the no-hopers.

I reckon that's why most people watch these shows... for a laugh
But, I'll admit, I really liked that guy at the end.
