Here's a link to the Auckland line up to help you make your choices (oh, and to rub HN's nose in it. Please don't ban me, I'm only little).

When will Cannibal Corpse be invited? We could go in yellow fever tshirts, kicking a ball that is disguised as a, erm, head?

The BDO has never remotely appealed to me.  It seriously looks woeful.

Cannibal Corpse is the worst band on the planet. Ever.

Agreed. All the decent music is coming in March.

Thought you said good music. Don't get me started. Coldplay! f**king Coldplay! How much do I hate Coldplay. Bastards.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Staright of the rumor mill...Rumour on the Rock that Eddie Vedder is going to show up during Neil Young's show.

I thought this was a possibility after Pearl Jam's rumoured appearance at the BDO didn't pan out.  I'm putting the likelihood of it at very low: he didn't come for 7 World's Collide last week due to family commitments can't see that changing in a week.

Never mind. It's a beautiful day up here, the sun is shining. You'd only have got pissed up and badly sunburnt and would've regretted it tomorrow!

Not pissed... never got the point of spending hundreds of dollars to see bands and then getting too pissed to see them.

I think I have had 1 beer in the 11 BDO's I've been to.

How's my driving? - Whine here

You are f**king joking right?

This is your justification for the statement "all the decent music is coming in March"?

Coldplay might be the only band in the world worthy of more derision than Kings of Leon.

Hang on I'll just check...

No I was wrong, I still hate Kings of Leon just a little bit more than Coldplay.

Kings of Leon - the Spinal Tap of the South. w**kers.

Well it was 5 festival, and the 4th in a row. I dont give a sh*t anymore who plays, I just go as I always have a good time and discover new bands for myself and see how different bands are live to their albums.

I'm sore.

Caught the Wellington International Ukele Orchestra at Lilypad and they were good for the novelty factor alone. Next up to catch first few numbers of Tutts and then off to catch a $5 fish supper and a bit of tee-shirt shopping.

Eating in the stands to ElemenoP and god they were awful. Out of tune and trying hard to be too fancy.

Bullet for My Valentine seemed to be a bit of fun, left after three songs to catch the fuss about the Ting Tings. That was my first revelation of the day. They actually were a fantastic live band with obvious New Order influences. Ignore the two crap singles, these guys were good.

Next upwe were into the D section and saw Pendulum. Very impressed and will download some albums, my discovery of the day.

Got to the front of the stage to catch TV on the Radio. They brought a different sound to the stadium, sort of a Doves etheric type. Not really main stage material, but good nontheless.

Thank f**k Shihad arent there anymore, now replaced with the Datsuns, a lot of fun.

Serj Tankian was the showman of the day, and a superb set.

SOMEONE PLEASE SHOOT LIVING END

Artic Monkeys were my highlight with a superb version of Nick Caves 'Red Right Hand"

Neil Young was Neil Young, a true legend and covered My My Hey Hey, Cortez the Killer, Powderfinger, Heart of Gold, Cinnamon Girl, Rocking in the Free World etc etc, and finished off with a barnstorming 'Day in the Life"

Caught Prodigy at the end, highly electric, but then I've seen them before.

Probably the best festival I've done as we were at the front of Green Blue stage from 4pm to 10.30.

cant really complain about the quality as every year they have sh*t bands (shihad for f**k sake) and you just got to grin and bear it.

Cant please everyone all the time as theres no accounting for taste, some you will never ever please, they'll just moan anyway.    just go.

I don't mind Coldplay but the rest of the bands don't constitute good music in my books.

Same sh*t different year. Toogood needs to stop being such a patronising c**t and keep his shirt on.
"Hey New Zealand I f**king love you, you f**kers f**king rock" yawn yawn.
Seen them 4 times, only while waiting for other bands at different festivals. nothing changes in their shows, same set up, same tunes, same sound, same bullsh*t banter, same skinny little c**t trying to be a rock star.

at least he gets the right country christ that's your typical front man response from any band
oh and the "i've been touring all over the world but Sydney(woops i'm in wellington N.Z) you guys are the best crowd we've had so far".
