All righty now that the season is a mere week away lets get some predictions to how the season will end up.

Here are a list of Both Womens Central League and Womens Premier teams. who will be top three and bottom three in each division

Womens Cntral League:
Waterside Karori
Massey
Seatoun
Marist
Brooklyn Northern
Wellington United
Lower Hutt
Valeron Wanderers

Womens Preimer:
Brooklyn Northern
North Wellington
Waterside Karori
Stop Out
Waikanae
Upper Hutt
Marist
University

Looks a bit shaky - though its early days.  Your CL top two are actually the bottom two of the R1 table and, of your Prem bottom three, Upper Hutt is top and Vic third.
In Premier, UHC thrashed the Wharf 9-0 exceeding their men's 5-0 over the Wharf in the men's Premier on Saturday.

Not sure why you had Karori so high for prem they almost got relegated from div 1 last season in the first round they lost more games then all the other teams who were still there after round 1

Given that all the teams have now played at least one game - does anyone have score predictions for this weekends games?  In either of the divisions?

Things are a changing

Yeah, L/Hutt beat Seatoun last year so changing indeed and Seatoun seem to have come out strong again this year, with L/Hutt on the end of a hiding last week and another loss today. Seatoun looked strong today, especially with the Cup at stake, well done girls!

Massey 9 - Lower Hutt 0
I think L Hutt got 1 shot on goal when they hit the crossbar late in 2nd half.

Valeron knocked off Marist to lift them up the table. Seatoun smashed BNU. Wharf over Utd. Utd's import should cause problems for oppos once she gets her transfer (based on watching her warm up for about twenty seconds)

Valeron vs United maybe a good game to watch next Sunday then.

Thou Massey v Seatoun (Knock-out Cup) is on at the same time.

Next week game between Stop out and Upper Hutt in Women Premier will be a cracker as a top of the table battle.......

Hard to believe that in almost 5 weeks the competition will be over and then the various cup competitions begin.

interesting to See Valeron doing so well.  What happening to Brooklyn and Lower Hutt in Central League?

I predict it will be a close game in the Knock out Cup Between Massey and Seatoun

Hopefully the weather this Sunday is better at Memorial Park for ASB Knockout Cup match.

Massey win 3-0 to set up a tough away game v Claudelands in the semi.

Valeron share the points with Utd and Marist beat BNU to leave them in trouble.

Seatoun were unlucky not to score against Massey. They had enough of the ball yet couldn't finish.

United unlucky to end with a draw after being up 1 - 0 at HT ( I hear)

Heard Valeron scored in the dying minutes from a clear off side position, bit of a referee blunder. And United had enough chances to put the game to rest which ultimately cost them.

Fuck this stupid game

Waterslide unlucky to draw 2 - 2 with Valeron at Memorial Park.

Went up 2 - 0 and then Valeron came back into it.
Either team could of won it in the last 10 minutes.

Massey 5 - Marist 2

Marist keeper had a mare of a game in the first half and gifted Massey 2 goals :\

I hear United gifted BNU their second win of the season and Valeron unlucky to lose 0 - 1 to Seatoun.

Good game at Memorial Park - Valeron vs Massey. #WCL

I agree it will be a fantastic game to watch as this weekend could decide the Women's Premier League and if not then it will go down to the next weekend as the decider. By the way the game at 2pm at Harcourt park not 1pm......

Massey 5 - nil over Valeron with a 1st half hat trick.

Close game in the first half only for Valeron to fall away in the second.

Upper Hutt 2 Stop out 2 in terrible conditions, pitch bloody near underwater making the game a lottery really. The draw gives Upper Hutt the point they need to clinch the title with a game still to play, also against Stop Out next weekend.

Pity that what could have been a decider between the two top sides was played in such shit conditions.

Our women's div 1 game was called off after 20 minutes on hutt park because the pitch was un-playable. Surprised there weren't more called off.

our game at Karori never started. Would have been a farce. Dont see a reason why it couldn't have been moved to turf when I notified at 10am that it was going to be the case.

Yeah we weren't allocated a ref and some guy (apparently an official ref) turned up on kick off to take the whistle and he called it off after 20. The call should have been made earlier by either capital football or the council I would have thought. Both teams felt like we couldn't call it off without a mediator or official of some sort but it was obvious after 20 minutes on it that it was just a joke and no one was achieving anything. Hoping the match will be replayed rather than points shared.

[quote=Hotspurs1]Yes the O wise Oracle was right, but they didn't have Wendy playing in every game this season but noted still top Goal Scorer.

The next question will be: Will any team from the Federation 4 Division want to enter the play off's with Upper Hutt to get into Central League next year? Will any from Gisbourne? the only ones I can probably see are PN Marist, North End AFC, Wanganui Athletic or Moturoa.

So the other issue is when will the likely play off's be as the federation 4 divisions all have around 4 weeks to play and if more than one team is interested then they have to have a play off first before playing Upper Hutt so could be like what happened to Stop out last year waiting over a month to find out if they have to play off or not.

Any central League women side want some friendlies with Upper Hutt to help Kill time?

I've heard North End AFC want to play in CL.

No Gisborne womens teams have the ambition of playing CL as far as I'm aware. They have a club competition up there but it's not very strong. They enter a composite team called "Team Tairawhiti" in the central region women's knock out cup who do okay but I haven't heard of them wanting to push for CL. Gisborne are chasing men's CL though with a composite team - similar to the old Team Taranaki model. If they succeed the women could attempt to follow suit.

Big question over what is happening re: relegation from Central league

We can pretty safely assume BNU first team will come last in the Central league, but I highly doubt there second team will be jumped by Marist in the Prems to be relegated

So Can BNU be relegated? Will Lower Hutt get the shaft? Should I have simply looked this up on the Capital League pig of a site?

Only 1 team from each club in C/L and premier league so BNU prems go down to make way for BNU 1sts I believe.

So here how it works. Bottom placed team in Central League automatically gets relegated. If it is BNU then regardless where their second team finishes then they would drop to Div 1 for 2013 season to make way for their 1st team.

The bottom two teams from Womens Premier get relegated. Now this is the kicker.

Currently Marist and Waikanae are bottom two teams in premier and Brooklyn are 3rd. so if Brooklyn finishes last in central league then all three of those Premier teams go to Div 1 next year.

Now if Upper Hutt fails to win the play off games then they will stay in Women's premier next season which means a 4th team could drop out of women's prems which would be either Waterside karori or North Wellington depends on where they finish so could have half a league change at the end of the season.

the other could happen with Say if Lower Hutt some how manage to come last in Central League then they get relegated to premier which means their 2nd team currently in Div 1 can not get promoted so it would go to the 3rd place team.

hope all that makes sense
