Hi all,

Progress reports from fourth round ASB NWL action:

Round review:

http://www.ultimatenzsoccer.com/…/latest_asb_nwl_round_revi…

One more match report (NZ Dev Squad v. Central) and two sets of match pix still to be done, but seeing as I've been up all night working on the above ...

Next week, you can look forward to a report on "The Battle of the Bridge". :-)

Cheers,

This is hardly surprising when you consider the selection saga.

not sure that accounts for the schoolgirl errors here (even though they are school girls)

this is horrific from Capital

Think a statue may have done a better job in goal

Yeah because when you get beaten 11-2 it is all clearly the Goalkeepers fault

Jeez.  Tessa isn't the CB I remember from last season - although was never going to be easy after having the regular season off (unless I'm mistaken?) Who are the capital holding midfielders this year?

There were a number of players clearly out of their depth which included the goal keeper who played very poorly.

The fault for the debacle lies with Capital Football who has treated this team as an after thought.

Yes had to dig deep after conceding an own goal in the first half and then finishing strongly with goal to Whitney Hepburn and Monique Barker. Northern rattled the crossbar five times during the game.

Pride now on top of the table and will host the Final on December 6 if they defeat Football South in Dunedin next Sunday.

It's actually the first time a Wellington team has finished outside the top 4 in women's football EVER (that's going back to the 1970's and the old National Tournament)

In the games I saw, Capital were clearly out of their depth in this league, they started to look more organised after they changed coaches (about 3 games in). I don't know what the politics of this were but it was a real shame that none of the Champion Seatoun side were in the team

Morning JR

Love your work, but if I can make one comment, and this may just because I am an old bastard with dodgy eyes, but I do find the Whie on black of your Website a bit difficult to read.

As I say love the content but just a comment that it is a little hard on the eyes (well mine at least).

Thanks for the feedback, ace.

It beats white on grey ... oh, hang on! :-)

I'll experiment with some of my ASB Premiership and Hyundai A-League match reports and round reviews. Let me know which colour scheme suits. I'll start with black on white with the Southern v. WaiBOP report I'm about to post, then play with some colours in the four match reports I'll be cobbling together between Thursday night and Sunday night.

Cheers,

JR
