I do know him personally and played with him for a year in Nelson - he's not the kind of player to do it maliciously, I can attest to that. Doesn't mean it wasn't a bad one off challenge though, I just struggle to see a guy like him being malicious about it at all.
The refereeing everywhere is shark, its not just Wellington!
