Lots of local football being played. In the Eastern Bay, biggest town Whakatane pop 15000, we have 6 senior teams. We join with Rotorua, Western Bay and Taupo for our BOP leagues and Waikato for the Federation League.

Salmon you might be surprised to hear that Rotorua City and Suburbs have finally amalgamated. They're called Rotorua United and now play the the International Stadium. Half of the Ngongy players went to join them (as they customarily do every second season) and United are doing quite well (4th) in the Federation League, with Ngongy sadly 10th out of 11.
I'm sure Ngongy will bounce back though. We (edgecumbe) always have good battles with Ngongy, but no Rotorua teams are in our div two this season.
Check out Edgecumbe's website for more BOP news and results etc.
Cheers
