Best ref you've seen this season?
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

C'mon... plenty of comments on refs are about.... but let's hear some of the more positive.

Dont know his name but we had a South African bloke who had just moved here when we played Welly Utd in Cap 2 earlier this season. He was superb, said he had reffed quite high up in South Africa.

Doesn't being clothed while having a shower kind of defeat the purpose of having a shower in the first place?

Do the refs in Capital football get paid or are they volunteers?

With the amount of teams in the comp I would have thought that more people would take up being a ref when the stop playing football.

Trevor Rigby.
Once saw him referee a Youth Grade game (17 year olds) at Rongotai College standing on a ladder in the centre circle. Age about 75 + at the time, he told the kids he couldnt run around but he would do the best he could. They respected the offer, avoided the ladder and applauded him off the field at the end.
The beautiful game indeed.

Did Trevor Rigby go to the world cup by chance? A mate of mine got a photo with quite an old guy in South Africa who I recognised from my junior rep days, I swear he refereed at a tournament once.

ah, it may have been in auckland, school tournament rather. similar to urion, this guy reffed us in freezing cold, wet conditions and could barely move but manage to control the game well enough. will never forget it, superb effort.

How is that awkward - do you usually shower with your clothes on?
