I am not totally sure where these players come from but am sure that someone will tell me whether or not i am right or wrong!

DEF- D Oughton

DEF- S Jacobs
DEF- Dunno? Merrick Keenan!
MID- T Brown
MID- S Elliot
MID- M Burton

Isn't Utting originally from Wellington?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Just throwing another possible keeper into the mix, that's all.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Barry Pickering as a keeper. And Grant Turner is a cert.
Bit restrictive limiting to those born in Wellington. Keith Barton arrived in Lower Hutt when he was about 14. Would be in for sure.
Interesting to see the names that have come up so far. Not to many oldies have had a crack at this yet, obviously.
Mind you, a lot of the best players back in the 60's and 70's were not born in Wellington.  Eliminates all those Hungarians for a start.

Really struggling at the back!  Also had to convert Killen to a lefty to shoehorn him (Avram Grant-Nicholas Anekla styles) into the starting XI.

hahahaha i know u werent there onree but u shud have seen his clanger against Central at u-19s, semi final in 1999 i think......he's come out with his hands a good half a metre apart with 1 minute to go and missed the ball, we lost 1-0.....best team to never win the big one (Mike Smith, Falvino, Duncan Edwards, O'Sullivan, Carnihan, Church, Wilson etc)

Pollock.......never missed......always beaten!

Those Hungarians dominated. They still have a kick around every Thursday and they're now in their 60s and 70s. Wellington is still waiting for better...

Also, Alex Yates for goalkeeper and Costa Barbarouses for striker.

Surely this Wellington 11 would beat a rest of NZ 11?

They'd beat an Auckland 11 if the Knight v Phoenix is any sort of representative match-up.
