well this hear went to Massey for the womens. Got given some biscuits and a bottle of coke (no cups) on the side of the pitch.
Today at L Hutt were asked to go to the Parrot & J (not sure why they cant use the upstairs), and then their girls didnt want to go, so we did our own thing and went to Petone Estab for Hell Pizza (highly recommended)
On the other hand at Paekak - even though they have gash clubbies - it was great. Drunk $4 Heinies outside with their friendly group. Was even some strane smells wafting around, not sure what that could have been.
Tawa are good. Ktown might have the nicest clubbies.

i found karoris clubrooms nice, but poorly laid out, you can't really move around in comfort there. I reckon just being a bit bias here but Naenae has some good facilities with nice good hot foot after the match.

i dunno what that "hot foot" thing you Naenae boys get up to is. fortunately never got caught up in that during any of my visits.
Your clubbies are fine monkey, but you're no contender here. Wharfies is prob good for wharfies teams but nothing extra offered by the hosts and beer prob on pricey side - so hosting awards not going there either.
Rapa used to do a good spread. Someone usually puts on fish and chips, cant remember who - Island Bay? Have got food at Wests but usually had to eat on our own. BNU usually deliver Dominoes. We got sausage rolls and little spicey malaysian things (always forget) at paekak (but might have been cup fixture one off).
Its pretty average on the whole I reckon. Presumably the central league sides are putting on a decent spread for visiting teams from out of town, but probably bc less travel below CL there is less of a culture of playing good host.

Petone ftw. Particularly if you can get Jim Bannatyne to talk to you about anything...he just starts buying the beers...
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Miramar Rangers: The Eagars dominate in aftermatch meals. The players get a nice sit down meal downstairs in peace and quiet to reflect on the game. Menu has included Chicken Pasta, Meatloaf, Spag Bol (sometimes with Meatballs), Beef Stroganoff, Chicken Koma Curry and much more. Players can then head upstairs to the spacious Harry Power lounge for their social fix and beverages. Balcony is available for fresh air (and anti social behaviour). $4 Heinekens are the most expensive drink. Aftermatch speeches are always well hosted and MOM prize is four heinies.
As radioman put it "second to none!" Battle that.

Dont use up all your dough! Maybe its leftovers that the Oranje are taking home every week in brown bags..

how much do you expect to pay for a sausage?this thread is based on players recieving things after a game.
was your experiance based on a visit to play or watch?if it was for a game did you recieve anything and then buy a sausage or was that your only option?

Miramar are crap. Ive played them several times at 12.30 and we cant even go back to their clubrooms for a beer becasue they are still closed!
Stokes Valley the best. As we played them in Cap 14 the past few seasons when their first team was also at home they let us in on the feed

In response to nightz -in fact the club and bar are open every saturday from 1pm so if he actually bothers to go there he will find out.I run the bar.
$2 for a SAUSAGE with onions is a fund raiseer for the club -you obviuosly dont know what side your bread is buttered How about the pies for $2.50 ?prettyreasonable I'd say

Hey I dont mind be corrected. I did say it was in previous seasons so if the bar was opened at 1pm than I think it reflects badly on the club that their own players dont know that and tell us to go elsewher if we want a drink. (could just be that they didnt want to drink with us)

In the Northern Premier league, Melville United and Central are in a different class - look after the opposition and actually provide food..

I remember Massey's 'clubrooms' upstairs at the Cobb & Co in Palmy in the early 1990s. Platters of chips, chicken nuggets, squid rings, wedges and sausages - genius.

And the MOM would have to do a jug skull.
Also remember a Massey tradition of getting the MOM bottle of sparkling wine and having four guys down it.
Best thing about the Cobb was the bar downstairs with the dart boards and the bikie gang who drank in there and put up with us - grudgingly
