Biggest thrashings

Don't mistake the tone of my posting. I wasn't gloating merely stating the facts. I only touched the ball four times all game and had nothing to gloat about.

It's good to hear they've assembled a new squad and will be competitive. Cap 4 and 5 aren't very different so if it had been more of the same - apparently they'd struggled all season - it would have been a long 2008. Hopefully they picked up a new keeper too. It wasn't that he was bad, but he was what could only call eccentric. He roared at full volume everytime he tried to close down a player and wasted so much time lying face down in the mud, refusing to get up and play on. With around 10 minutes to go he switched to defence, continued roaring at opponents and about the 85th-ish minute jumped on top of one of our players to get himself sent off. No-one on our team could figure out why he'd done it. He'd yelled something about leaving someone alone, but nothing had actually happened. Neither team showed much enthusiasm for the game after that. The chap was heard boasting after the game that "I told you I'd get sent off one more time before retiring" to someone on thr sidelines, so we figured he'd planned it.

The biggest result I have played in was Marist 11- Waikanae 0 in the Chatham Cup last year.

As a keeper I try to forget the worst thrashings I've played in as quickly as possibly, though I think ive gone down 7-2 in a 25 minute each way game once....

If you lose 16-4 I think you remember it for the rest of your life...

Well, that and the constant reminder of the monthly therapy bills for the rest of my life

1992
Waimate High School 11 Kurow Area School 0

I was playing left wing (old school), and never went past half way.  Last (and first) proper game I played for 12 years.

My high school team was rubbish too, which is why no-one with any sense went near them.  Losing by double figures in every inter-school doesn't do much for recruitment.

This has no context- a bit like Romario sayiong he scored 1000 career goals, when some of them were training games against the upper amazonian u/12's

Who beat stratford, what grade, what were the overhead conditions..mumble,mumble....

i know the goalie your talking about not even a golie at all plays capital 13 at best normaly, from what ive heard he took out your player beacuse he got aggressive towards one of the youngsters, dont worry im sure thats not his 1st red card or last just that type of player, think back on that game not sure were the usual 2nds guys were but it wasent a stong team anyway and then fill ins from junior grades dosent help much, team is looking to be more succesfull in cap 5 which a proper team set up and fancy track suits

I played for Wharfes at Park Island a few years back (1992????) and we lost 9-1.  Everytime they scored, they played some f**king song over the tannoy, and everyone was sick of it by the end of the game.  I scored our 1, and got man of the match - never been so embarressed collecting a mon award in my life.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Worst thing about that guy was he was in charge of a 15th grade (i think) team for Wainuiomata. I played in the team in the above grade and the guy was crazy on the sideline without really having any idea what was going on and what he was doing. From what I've heard I don't think hes playing or coaching this season.

Wellington Cool vS aranui??? I think thats the club. It was about 14-0 at halftime so we gave them half the team. james Apples and dave Holmes scored 2 each for the them i think! finished something like 19-5! Crazy

are you sick of it yet? clearly in the wrong league!

was a good win considering the conditions, and the league is a little tiresome indeed, though upper hutt also had a large thrashing in the weeknd...

yea, it is getting a little tedious. If we bet upper hutt easily i'll be protesting we get moved! the only place we will go is 14a though, hopefully that can fulfill our needs!

I think 14A is considered the same as you guys.  Maybe they will split the top of A and B into a 14, and the rest in to a 15  ?

How's my driving? - Whine here

yeah i think that is what happens HN, thats what happened with 13 last year anyway. What i was getting at is if the teams in 14a will be heaps better, i just dont want the team to move into effectively the same division/level..
