Boots For Wellington Artificial Surfaces

Hey Team.

So looks like I will be transferring down here next season and over summer I might possibly play the 11 aside(?), Just wondering what do people do for boots on artificial here??

I normally play in FG boots on grass, but played a couple of games of 5 aside last summer at Te Whaea in them and they just didn't feel right (I rolled my ankle on one occasion which I think were to do with the boots).

Do you recommend AG boots? TF Boots? - sorry if its a scrub question but we don't get artificial in palmy, just bogs.

Also sorry if there is already a topic about this I did search but couldn't find anything?

I was thinking something like these

Te whaia is awful and not representative of all the other turns.

That aside I reckon old skool Adidas Copa  Mundial. Good on natural grass in the early season too

Agree copas are the best. I have rolled both my ankles on turf in Nike mercurials which have a much narrower base.

Fuck this stupid game

Rolled ankles must be common on the turfs. I've done it twice this year. Sprained my ankle playing twilight on Te Whaea earlier this year and had to sit out a couple of pre-season friendlies. Then last weekend on Wakefield rushing out to make a one-on-one save my foot (same one) got caught in the turf as I went down so my whole body went over and my foot didn't and the result has ended my season early.
