Well I can understand that people are going to be annoyed about the
cancellations, but personally I am at least happy that Capital
Soccer had the intelligence to play the Capital 1 catch up game
this week, even if it is at Crawford Green
Cancellations? (Confirmed Page 2)
So, are we kinda expecting another bout of cancellations this week,
or will WCC/Capital Soccer push forward with games? Hard
News2007-07-13 16:17:16
I hope they push forward and play one game per park on
saturday. Grounds are difintely closed now tho. Its been
pissing down with rain all day, gym training tonight for
most most likely.
Can tell me how Karori park is holding up?? Or is the Wharfies v Upper Hutt going to get transfered.
Last I heard the main pitch was having a few issues and games were
being played on the other pitches at Karori Park....however this is
only word of mouth so I could easily stand corrected....
anyone else have some more info?
anyone else have some more info?
When they were redoing Karori park they didnt think about the drainage so well, could be messy in the rain, should not be any reason for a transfer tho, most parks are pretty sloppy. Just too much rain for the grounds to handle it.
True. Going to be a nice and messy game then.
Probably call most games off. The Hutt Valley grounds look to be in
are far better condition, but once WCC pull the plug everything
seems to go,even when the Hutt grounds are open for 1 game, as
happen 2 weeks ago. Wharfies v Upper Hutt to Karori 3 ? or maybe
Happy Valley where the real football is played !!!!!!!
Happy Valley? Im sure both teams would settle for a draw and go to
the pub if that ever happened!
Word is Wharfies have been watering down the pitch at they love a
water fight
Water fight? How about a paint ball fight.....?
Sneaky Warfies watering down the pitch. The
puddles at each goal post can act as a 2nd sweeper for
them. heard they're pretty slow at the back, might come in
handy for them.
Friends at Excell say no chance of any games this weekend outside
of the Central League and Champs Premier.
But will Capital Soccer tell us before Saturday ?
they will announce it at 12:25 on Saturday
all wcc grounds are closed at the moment and the forecast isn't to
flash either for the weekend
That is so poor of capital soccer telling us by the last possible
minute. Better to know the night before i reckon, then you can plan
the weekend. quality20002007-07-12 17:34:37
They cancel everything else except hugby, whats up with that? They
are the ones that chew up the grounds with there orgys... i mean
srcums
I guess you don't need a good surface to play rugby though do you? It's kinda crucial in footie.
I'm a bit slow to catch up - have they already made a call on
this weekends games?
I reckon it will be about the same number of games as last
weekend.
This is based on a feeling 'in my water'.
Yeah, no doubt they will cancel every grade that played last week
except the top2
Not a great " Drying Day " today, so Capital Soccer should give us
the news today, probably most off again. [ The sun has just
come out, we might play!!!!!!]
no - I think that if you played last week, you probably will
again. One game per pitch, and all that jazz
wouldnt they play all the grades that got cancelled last week and
cancel the lower grades did play?
Hutt grounds were open 2 weeks ago when they pulled the plug late [
1 game per ground ] so when WCC pull the plug they cancelled the
lot.Why we can not use the grounds when they are open
is a question Capital soccer need to answer. So what if some
teams get a head in the fixture list, don't see a problem with
that.

Junior Football in Wgtn, Hutt Valley &
Western Zone, including JPL and Promo, for Saturday 14th July is
cancelled due to ground conditions. Hutt Valley Rep Trials are
still on however.

If we don't play tomorrow it is a crime
It is hard to keep momentum going
(capital 8 has not played for two weeks)
They canned the Blazers vs Trentham game while you were away as
well so you have that to look forward to in a fortnight.

Does that make any sense to anyone?
