If you drop a player to your reserves, they have to stay there for 3 games (maybe 2 in this instance due to shorter season)

Not that I know what exactly the rules are currently. But I'm working from my perception that they're too loose currently.

You are making suggestions but don't know the rules? Not a good suggestion IMO

Yeah hence I owned up to it. And as I said, my perception (from what I've heard from others) is that it is easy to stack teams. This would stop that, and allow those fringe players to get game time. 2 weeks is reasonable and wouldn't hinder anyone's first team chances either.

You also forgot to point out that I took the suggestion from an online game, which makes me lose even more credibility :p but again I did own up to that too.

thankfully decisions are made by those in the game and not in a virtual world :)

Haha there it is.

Good job hiding behind irrelevant details of how I got the idea, rather than the actual idea itself.

Spartacus, Jeff and energy: fair enough. You raise good points. I have just heard about team stacking being quite a prevalent thing, and that was an off the cuff suggestion as to how to get round it. Another way to look at it is to ask if a certain amount of team stacking really a bad thing? If the first team has played to the point that they are safe in their goals (perhaps safe from relegation) then maybe they've earned the right as a club to redistribute resources. Who knows. I think there does have to be a balance. Perhaps that balance is being successfully met now?
