from the lack of nibbles after my baiting I will assume that you all agree that there is no hope for anyone else in this league... will touch base at the end of the season to say I told you so.

Will you keep for them occasionally this year too, Greenie? :-)
I saw that M. Candy left the Boomers to move up north somewhere - what a shame, nice bloke and very good GK. He was part of the famous University Gossies side which tore up Cap 3 in my first year with the team back in 06 or thereabouts.

Shame he chose to play outfield about half the time! :)

Wharf Boomers 5 Olympic Thunder 0, played on Greene Parke (aka Karori 3). Fair result on the run of play.

Hooligans took a 9-2 win at Happy Valley over BNU... game played in good spirits (lucky as there was no official ref) on a horrible pitch.... knee length grass, howling wind and an artificial cricket pitch through the middle.

Looking for a team to share ST Pats turf with on Monday nights. Would get half a field with lights etc. Would be able to give a game at the end of each training.

Heard rumour so not sure if true, that a lot of Upper Hutt last seasons 1st team players have dropped down to this 3rd team to play as they didn't want to play for the 1st. That might be why the results have been what they have been for them this year.

This situation does not make sense. Upper Hutt's  first and second teams are struggling and even at this stage of the season it looks like both will be relegated whilst the Division 5 team will win the grade in a canter.

Upper Hutt need to get some of their Division  5 players to think hard about the common good of the club.

Only heard it was due to club polictics, but not sure as source is no longer with the club themselves

credit to these player staying and still playing  even if cap5 for there club if the politic issue is true.

NW had similar happen and lost all it's experience to other clubs and has had to import new to repair the damage.

i hope the situation improves as Upper Hutt was always a strong club on and off the field and it would be a shame to loose this type of icon for Wellington football.

good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for

but all we get is talk and goal posts moving
