Taranaki area has never really had much success at CL level. Can not imagine a Hawera Hotspurs or Waitara Wanderers competing
New Plymouth Rangers Joined the Western premiership this season( league below fed league) for the manawatu/wanganui and Taranaki area. First taranaki club side to do so for a long time (due to travel i think puts naki clubs off). So far they are top of the league with a goal difference of +60 so id say they very well could compete in the fed league.
