Wharfies Tonners got off to an interesting start......a 1-1 draw with Upper Hutt out at Trentham.  Big Dunc missed a pen in a dominant first half, then UH got a pen in the second half and scored, and late on there was a scuffle resulting in a red card for a player from each side. 

A wannabe gangster coming onto the pitch to join their goalie who'd run half the length of the pitch to join the scuffle created a few laughs, then a late equaliser by Reggie and some promising foundations laid by the Mighty Tonners!

Some solid play by Fitz, Bas, Nathan, Si Law, Bison and Matty looks like we'll do well this season.  We survived a couple of jugs at the Tote post match too.....

Re-match v UH at Wilton (the home of football) this Saturday oddly enough.

Karori Tonners beat the Karori Meke 4-2 on KP1 on Saturday....this is after the Tonners goalie and Electric Ave bouncer Daz had to "assist" Tonners hardman Fitz from said bar at 5am for leaving a slightly unhealthy tip on the bar.....

A few green looking Tonners post match, but 2nd on the table news meant they improved considerably at the mere mention of post match beers....

Updated after Lower Hutt Roundballs 1-0 victory over Karori Tonners at Wilton Park yesterday.  Top sportsmanship showed by the Roundballs, supurb handling of an unfortunate incident in the 2nd half by the LH referee and LH replace the Tonners in 3rd on the table doing the double over them now this season.
