CAPITAL 16
SV Destroyers v Brooklyn Northern - Delaney 2 (12.30)
Uni Goldenrods v Stokes Valley - Nairnville 2 (12.30)
Porirua City v Nth Wgtn Bombers - Waihora (2.30)
Brooklyn Pints v Petone Prowlerz - MacAlister 2 (12.30)

Good luck to all the teams this season.  Goldenrods are down a grade this year (swapped with the Unicycles) and looking forward to it (especially as we don't have to go to Wainui this season).

Looking forward to the games against Dusty's Pints and the trips out to Waihora, a ground which has a lot of memories over our last 17 seasons, including a famous 7-7 draw in our last game there.

SV Destroyers 2 Brooklyn Northern 4
Uni Goldenrods 6 Stokes Valley 3
Porirua City 13 Nth Wgtn Bombers 0
Brooklyn Pints 2 Petone Prowlerz 3

13-0 - what do they put in the water in Cannons Creek?

Rods were 2-1 down at half-time, then 2-3.  We scored four goals in ten minutes.  Thanks to Stokes Valley for a good game - we were a little worried when we saw Hiro turn out for them - he tormented us singlehandedly for Lower Hutt DDs last year and did a great job of running rings around us yesterday.

Have few new boys in this year so still gelling + lulling everyone else into a sense of false security = bombers to win division ;)

Every Porirua City team is basically a break away Wests team. It started when a whole lot of Wests Masters players fell out with the club so settled in up the road. More and more have moved across since as well

Christo.  Should have got Stefan to ref.  Key man in our 4-3 win there last season.  Injury time winner.

How's my driving? - Whine here

CAPITAL 16:
Lower Hutt DDs        5    Brooklyn Pints        0
Miramar Mysterions   10    IBU Rampage           2
WU Honey Badgers      8    Uni Goldenrods        3
Brooklyn Northern     1    SV Destroyers         1

Interesting results over the weekend. First time I
can remember playing for the DDs that we haven't be scored against.
But enjoyed playing the Pints. Nice to play a fair, friendly team.

Well to be honest its the first time the DDs haven't been scored against that I can remember in the four years I've been playing for them. Its not like you guys didn't have your chances. Just one of those days I guess

Well yes..
But for me it was a bit different, seeing as I was diving all around the box saving goals..
They had so many more shots than us!

Looking forward to the Mighty Rods v Mighty DD clash tomorrow at Fraser 5 Yakcall.  You beat us last year in Capital 15.  My best memory is your ref walking around the field with a Tui in his hand!

Glad we got to play last weekend. Was a good game, shame we couldn't come back from the 3 early goals. But I enjoyed playing you guys.

Cheers Yakcall, always good to play in a game with no serious niggle.  You guys came back at us pretty well.  Knowing the way the Rods have played this year, I was holding out for the final whistle as we tend to lose games in the last ten minutes.

Wow, That Miramar team is in the wrong grade! We couldn't do a thing right and everything they did seem to work! Only plus from the day seem to be that we didn't allow there keeper to score! lol

What the hell happened? Thought Miramar team would go through
the grade unbeaten.
Congratulations to the Brooklyn team
