Anyway, looking forward for a return to the old stomping ground tomorrow. Have played in many good victories at Endeavour and very few losses, have no idea of the calibre of the squad turning out for us as I havent been at training all week but its a decent pitch 2mins from my door so Im going to enjoy it whatever the result...

..... unless its 10-0 then fark that

Played all my junior footy for Wests but never made the Cap Reserve side, so went to BNU and ended up playing in Cap Prem. And just been at the club ever since.

Not a bad performance from us today I didnt think, couple of goals against us wouldnt have been saved by any keeper in Cap football, pretty gross own goal too. Too bad we couldnt have grabbed a 3rd from that 1-on-1 but yeah i thought we played ok. Helped having a couple of our guys back from the first team. Cant seem to avoid injuring myself at the moment. Infected knee from the turf 3 weeks ago, a smashed head/shattered tooth requiring removal from last week, and a bloody nose from a boot to the face today, need to learn to stay on my feet... but won the cash raffle in the club rooms after though! and only $4 for my fav beer. Cheers Wests

Yeah was a good game huh? Much tougher than we expected too, not that we were underestimating things. You guys will do well if you keep playing like that...nice to meet you too!!! Good luck for the rest of the season

Eastbourne vs Karori at Wakefield tonight. We're hoping to break a 5 game losing streak.

Assuming Marshy plays for Eastbourne. Unfortunately they didn't break it. Karori came out on top 5-1.
Bit bias as a Karori supporter but thought it was a good game plenty of attacking football from both sides.
Karori was lucky on a couple of occasions with their keeper making some good saves and scrambling defence. Cracker of a goal for Karori's 4th. Eastbourne's goal was also pretty good, nice through ball and the player put it around the keeper.
As an aside any idea what grade was on the next pitch? there was a bit of a scrap with about 10 to go. Not sure what started it but looked like a Uni player wasn't happy with something.

Was Cap 5 on the next pitch too.....Uni vs Brooklyn. The Uni guys were nice guys when we played them...must have been ugly

There was probably about 5-6 from each team involved. Lots of pushing and shoving, but didn't see any punches. One of the uni guys had to be dragged away by a mate and was still fuming a couple of minutes later.

We had one of those against Eastbourne at Wakefield, was probably about 5 vs 5 too. We all shared a changing room after the game though and had a laugh about it haha

Think we have Karori at Happy Valley this week, not looking forward to it (the Happy Valley part) then the BNU derby at Wakefield the following Tuesday. Must win games for us or we're in trouble i think

AJ, Miramar like to move players around! Bit cheeky!

Just check the team card and compare with rules.

But most clubs fill teams mid week to cover players who cannot play.

Went and watched this game. Brooklyn Reserves gave away a 3-0 lead. Pretty good result for Palace.

Did the teams look about the same as when we played them?

When you sign the opposition team card, I think that still happens.

Strange result but yeah good result for palace. Actually it does do both teams some good as it gets Palace away from the bottom 2

Yeah not a good result for us at Eastbourne. We have Naenae next Monday, hoping they don't stack their team.

Yeah I'd be more worried about being defaulted to by naenae at this stage of the season.

Any report from last nights Miramar 0 - 2 Brooklyn Reserves?  Bit of a shock result but handy for us at Wests.

Brooklyn get a few players back that had been on first team duty due to injuries?

Only just got a txt now from the club congratulating us on the victory - yeah bit of a shock, I missed this one again so not really sure on how it went down. There was a lot of talk about how Mar brought players down last time we played them (our first team coach was particularly unhappy with this) so wouldn't have been surprised if he lent us a few lads from Cap 1 haha

Results like that happen - player movement is how teams get numbers to play some weeks.

Well......we will take it! Thank you Brooklyn.

100% agree.  Just interesting as the Miramar team that we played, wouldn't have lost 2-0 to the Brooklyn team we played a few weeks ago.  That's just my take on it though and no offence to Brooklyn intended.

I don't have any issue with player movement.

Great result for us.  Miramar will feel hard done by as they felt the ball was out in the build up but was difficult to tell for the ref and our player wasn't sure so played on.  Good hard fought game worthy of a top of the table clash.

A lesson for all grades. Play to the whistle. And set up for the ref's decision before questioning it.
