Hi guys just thought I'd create this topic to see who posts on here from Capital 6.

I'm Joe, a winger from Lower Hutt Mooseknuckles. We played and lost to Tawa AC 4-0 today, who we played twice last year in Cap 7 and lost horrifically too then as well, so 4-0 is a slight improvement haha.

I'm from the Marrons and we secured a late win against a solid Miramar side.
AC United going for back to back to back promotions?

any ideas on whether our week 1 capital football ref appearance is likely to continue?  did any others have official refs turn up?

Great, looks like we have another one this weekend. Better than us having to provide one! The usual guy we end up getting ref for us ends up being crazy biased AGAINST us to overcompensate haha.

Based on seeing him Play football in Dunedin, he may have a better future as a referee :)

He put in a decent shift. Consistent and fair. Dodgy offside call when I was clean through after a spewed out cross hah

that ref on the weekend obviously had somewhere better to be with that 35 minute first half

Only just seen ya post.
Ref must have got his watch from a weet bix box. He obviously loved his HT too as his kids had to call him back to the pitch haha.

Enjoyed the game against you Mooseknuckles. Looking forward to the return fixture.

No ref for us this week. Anyone got any?

Shock of the season as Lower Hutt beat Brooklyn Pilsner 4-0 with a total shot ratio of our 6 to brooklyn's 26

That is a big upset. About 6-7 of my mates play for them, they're a handy side. What happened today?

Fuck this stupid game

We've been playing a lot better than we've done previous years, we seemed to click. Our goalkeeper made a few solid saves at the start and then I think they got very frustrated and were taking pot shots.

The pitch was absolutely dreadful (Happy Valley...cricket pitch through the middle etc.) which may have helped us as well.

Oh well, absolutely stoked with the result. Come on you Mooseknuckles!!

Good result! Well done!

Us Marrons would be even more grateful if we picked up the result this weekend. Unfortunately we capitulated and lost 4-3 to Uni who played well and scored some great team goals.

I watched Wainui play NW. Good even game played in good spirit. Wainui went up 1 - 0 midway through 2nd half and NW fought back well to get the draw which I thought was a fair result.

They had a ref supplied. He told the teams when the 1st sub was made that they couldn't do rolling subs. Both captains protested to no avail. Someone had the copy of the rules in their bag and gave them to the ref at the next stoppage so he agreed they could make the rolling subs.

1. Shouldn't the refs know the rules?

2. It's the players game, why would the ref try and ruin it by not allowing the rolling subs, its a social grade after all and all the players want their share of game time.

sound like NW coming together compared to last year ….
the ref probably remembers the old rule of "if the captains before the start agree to rolling subs it will be allowed but if no agreement before the start then the normal sub rules will apply" or something like that but now it has been changed and is very loose so he will now the change in status better.
nice to see div6 getting a ref though.

good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for

but all we get is talk and goal posts moving
